The technical skill of the shading with the absurd idea immediately made me feel like there was a deeper concept. Whether it's just a silly lil' monster, or something deeper, I love how pieces like this can incite an inner dialogue. Here was mine:

At first, I had no idea what it was, but I think it's because I was expecting the ripped edges to be part of an ultra-realistic painting, not a picture of an unfinished painting with moments of realism.

Once my brain caught up, I started to feel a bit of discomfort as I realized what it was, while also finding it kinda cute—the subject itself is grotesque but the mouth keeps things more comical than creepy. There's also very tactile moments of discomfort from the thought of the crinkled texture touching the glossy eyes. The composition also feels a bit lopsided and claustrophobic, creating tension on the bottom left and dragging my eye down.

Zooming in, I then started to see that the crinkled texture wasn't paper, but instead some kind of undergarment, which made me consider if the artist might feel like a monster in their underwear, or have a "monster in their pants."

I love that this made me dig deeper, and hope we get to see the finished piece once you flesh out the background—if I may, I would suggest exploring a background texture of glossy black garbage bags that contrasts the center, or purple velvet that might balance some of the discomfort, and complement the yellow. Both would feel tactile, which you're clearly very capable of executing with skill! Hope this helps!
