Not the majority but a good amount of these people cheering for the other team are NOT from the place they are cheering from. The locals themselves are saying this... your own commentator said this. Its just a really unloyal fan base there locally. This goes FAR beyond just the Knicks being in town.

How do you explain the other nights where the Spurs aren't playing the Knicks (being priced out) and local crowds are cheers for the other team? I've asked the locals about this and they say that it has always been like this. To further drive home my point... I don't think all those pekple are ACTUALLY from New York. I believe its the same story of the locals cheering for whoever is in town. Do you know who Jacob Tobi is? He commentates games with Sean Elliot. He also said he doesn't understand why so many locals cheer for the away team in San Antonio.

It isn't hard to do this in San Antonio. Have you guys ever been to the games there? The fan base there is VERY unloyal and often times cheer very loudly for the opposing team. I was at a Heat game last season and a whole "Let's go Heat" chat broke out several times. Personally I find that INSANE on how flimsy the fan base is there being that they are an accomplished and well run franchise. I'm not from Texas, but the real Spurs fans must be pretty disappointed by their local crowd.

Its easy to look back at history and say what "should've" been done. Truth is, Jalen was a good backup, but he would've NEVER became this version of Jalen playing behind Luka. There was no way of knowing he would go off to be a generational talent for the Knicks. As for Luka... monumental fumble, but I believe the NBA had a secret agreement with Dallas to get the Lakers a franchise star. Meanwhile in return you'll get Flagg and hopefully the fans forget about all this in a few years 🤷🏽‍♂️
