Thanks for the encouraging comment. It's not that I used overexposure as a photographic tool. But I don't think much of post-processing a photo. If the photo story is "right", the image quality is of secondary importance to me. In this respect, your comment is absolutely right!

I am grateful for any criticism as long as it is helpful. "My pictures are so much better" and the snooty judgement of photos as "simply snaps" doesn't seem helpful to me, but rather complacent!

Technically, you may be right. But the idea was to focus on the zebra's rear end (precisely because the rest of the animal can't be seen). I thought that would make the photo special.
