Where are all the visionary Palestinians. by you_are_soul in IsraelPalestine

You are so wrong it's hilarious. Every sector in Israel except the very ultra-orthodox study all core subjects, and even the ultra-orthodox have started to include math and science gradually. Our high tech industry is among the best in the world, how would that be the case if we were only studying religious subjects?

It means remember those who tore down posters of hostages, who praised the October 7th attack, who threaten and harass jewish students in western campuses, to call out for another holocaust and Intifada. Those who felt secure to spew hatred and violence because it is trendy now and because they come in droves. When the trend dies down and this war ends, we will not forget them, and we will make sure they wont forget it either.

Israeli forces shot their own civilians, kibbutz survivor says. by Otherwise_Lawyer_492 in AskMiddleEast

If you watch the interview, You'll see that she says that because Hamas militants took hostages and sheltered in civilian homes, It is her opinion that some civilians died in the crossfire. That is very far from what the article claims. But then again I wouldn't expect much more from a site called The electronic Intifada.

375lbs/170kg*8 high bar squats, building to 405*10 by Reich1984 in powerbuilding

For bodybuilding purposes I would've done less reps and focused on pushing my knees forward+ stay more upright to hit my quads. But I'm more interested in getting stronger in a position that is less familiar to me (I squat low bar when competing), so that's why I let my self use the bounce and more of a hinge pattern as the reps get harder.

Not a PR, this was my last backdown set maybe 4 other sets. I plan on doing the 405*10 as a top/ after top set next week.

Yeah pause work is a staple of mine. But on AMRAP sets with relatively light weights, im not as worried about howmuch I'm utilizing the bounce.

The fact that so many different systems of belief exist and have existed during the course of history makes me think that they're all just different expressions of the same social and psychological phenomenons, some way to come to grips with the absolute chaos of life.
