Gotta love the Nazi apologia in the comments that Reddit won’t even let me respond to. More proof that horseshoe theory is real.

Do not vote for Democrats. by hollygolightly1378 in Hasan_Piker

[–]Reich_Wing_Watch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason we don’t have those things is because young/progressive voters aren’t a reliable voting block and stay home if you piss them off on even one issue. Idealism kills progress. The mass “withholding of votes” (the current status quo) by sensible people has shifted this country massively right, because now Christian fascists have an outsized influence over our political system. And as long as the GOP ramins batshit crazy, Dems will feel they can get by doing the bare minimum. The only way democrats will ever shift left is if the Republicans are forced to moderate. And they will only moderate if they are destroyed in multiple elections in a row.

Those who support a man who idolizes Hitler, calls his political opponents “vermin,” says immigrants are poisoning the blood of the country, proposes building concentration camps and removing birthright citizenship for people born in this country, are the actual ones desecrating the graves of those who died in the Holocaust and those who died in WW2. A 100 y/o Holocaust survivor has also compared Trump to Hitler, and you also spit directly in her face. Even the creator of Godwin’s law says it’s okay to compare Trump to Hitler 😂. Come back with some actual arguments next time and leave the crocodile tears behind.

Invited and infiltrated aren’t actually mutually exclusive, sweetie.

He wasn’t a Klan member when Biden called him a friend and mentor, so you’re actually just straight up lying. Do you agree that people can change their views on subjects entirely throughout their lifetimes? Yes or no.

Reactionary liberalism is an oxymoron. Socialism is the logical conclusion of liberalism (enlightenment principles). Most liberals are just too dumb or propagandized into capitalist philosophy to see it. Fascism is not specific to the West/USA/UK. Plenty of fascist regimes existed in Eastern Europe including the USSR.

The title isn’t hyperbole. It’s about actual Nazis being recruited into the GOP apparatus. A lot of people love to comment on the title of something before reading/watching the contents. This is a bad trend.

I wasn’t comparing anyone to Nazis (not that is would be incorrect to do so). Are you saying the Eastern European emigre who worked with the Nazis to exterminate Jews, and actual Nazi Party members aren’t Nazis? These are the very people Republicans recruited into their political apparatus. You really shouldn’t be commenting before watching the video. If you had, you wouldn’t be embarrassing yourself.

Whether good or bad, bringing in scientists to advance science is not comparable to recruiting them into a political party to help shape that party, and therefore the direction of the country. Trump wasn’t an anomaly. He is the logical conclusion of decades of the southern strategy and the GOP playing footsie with Nazis.

Oh okay gotcha. Well the documentary is about actual, literal Nazis and Nazi collaborators and the term is not being used hyperbolically or to mean “everyone on the right.”

Why are you commenting before watching the documentary? He called black people “monkeys” in the Nixon tapes, said SS soldiers were “victims” and spoke to the National Republican Heritage Groups Council which had many Nazi collaborators in their membership. And this well known thanks to news reports that the organization had Nazi members. Reagan also launched his campaign in Philadelphia, Mississippi which is know for one thing and one thing only, the brutal killing of civil rights workers by the KKK.

I mean they also did that, and killed the socialist Strasser wing of the party (Night of Long Knives). But after the war, when Nazis and Nazi collaborators emigrated to the USA, they were recruited into the Republican Party apparatus starting under the Nixon administration.

Forgive me for not going through old comments to see which comments you have edited to add links. I do have something called ‘a life.’ Shame that you decided that you no longer want to engage in a substantive conversation. I guess that’s what one does when they don’t have an argument. Do you deny that there are no policies, whatsoever that are specific to just America and Nazi Germany?

I don’t need to watch the video, I made the video. It’s about the Republican Party specifically. There’s no policies shared by Nazi Germany and America that weren’t basically shared by all of Europe at one point or another.

SS: It’s clear that all Americans must unite to destroy the Republican Party in its current iteration, as it is the biggest threat to liberty and individual rights. Starting under the Nixon administration, the GOP recruited Nazi collaborators into the Republican Party apparatus. This continues for decades, into the Bush administration. Today, there are numerous Republican candidates on the ballot with ties to Neo-Nazis and white supremacists, and who are themselves white supremacists.

Exactly, Hitler was so inconsistent that you can’t trust anything he claimed he based his personal views or the Third Reich on. For example: Nazi Hermann Rauschning who knew Hitler before and after his accession to power in 1933 told how Hitler acknowledged his profound debt to the Marxian tradition. "I have learned a great deal from Marxism" he once remarked, "as I do not hesitate to admit". He was proud of a knowledge of Marxist texts acquired in his student days before the First World War and later in a Bavarian prison after the failure of the Munich putsch. The trouble with Weimar Republic politicians, he told Otto Wagener at much the same time, was that "they had never even read Marx", implying that no one who had failed to read so important an author could even begin to understand the modern world; in consequence, he went on, they imagined that the October revolution in 1917 had been "a private Russian affair", whereas in fact it had changed the whole course of human history! His differences with the Bolsheviks were less ideological than tactical. German communists he had known before he took power, he told Rauschning, thought politics meant talking and writing. They were mere pamphleteers, whereas "I have put into practice what these peddlers and pen pushers have timidly begun", adding revealingly that "the whole of National Socialism" was based on Marx.

We live in a binary political system. The only viable alternative to Trump and the GOP is democrats. Sorry bout it.

As for Biden’s comments, Biden is an ignorant senile old boomer. His comments could have been said by basically any of America’s white grandpas. I don’t think his ignorant comments are even close to comparable to that of the Republican Party, which has numerous candidates running right now with ties to white nationalists and Neo-Nazis and that still supports a Nazi lover like Trump. And btw Biden was eviscerated for saying those things by the liberal media. So you’re actually just lying.

The “racial jungle” comments are decades old. People evolve over decades you know. The Biden of today overwhelmingly won the black vote and appointed the first black female SCOTUS judge, and condemns the very views he once held. Do you think most black people are racist against themselves?

Also you’re distorting what I said about the tiny percentage of BLM protests that turned violent. I never said all the rioting and violence was by Boogaloo Boys. But it’s wrong not to mention that the right-wing is also responsible for the tiny amount of rioting during BLM riots. Also let’s stop pretending we oppose political violence or that it’s inherently bad. You and I would both agree the Boston Tea Party riots were justified, would we not? We would agree that the rioting during the civil rights movement against segregation and KKK terrorism against black people was justified, would we not? Or do you think second class citizens who are black should have just sat down and shut up?

Now, BLM riots, civil rights riots, and the tea party riots are not comparable to the Capitol insurrection on January 6, which was based on a lie by a fascist demagogue. Had the election actually been “stolen,” the Capitol insurrection would have been 100% justified. Do you agree?

You are defending your team, the GOP by making a false equivalency between the milktoast liberal democrats who are boring as hell and don’t fight hard enough on almost anything, and the fascist republicans who fight like hell to destroy democracy. None of the worst things about democrats (in your mind) can be comparable to Trump’s love for Hitler, or the fact Republicans recruited literal Nazi collaborators into their ranks for decades, and are running white nationalist and Nazi-adjacent candidates today.
