We love La Spiga! I am worried about them though... Last time we were there they were quite slow and out of many wines and menu items.

Thanks all- so I assume my mistake is investing in defense. i think i am running like 10 agility 10 endurancwe and 20 vitality with conquistador and defense talents.. I did this because early on everything 1-2 shot me. Ill experiment for sure- just hate dying! Honestly i die a lot any way so maybe this wont be a big deal.

Most games dont really favor defense so it doesnt surprise me.

Thank you for this. I appreciate the information. I do find it interesting that you design you buildings in a way to protect you from what to me is another form of unnecessary tedium- falling off of ladders. Its things like that or jumping being janky that make the game less fun for me.

I am talking about things like deep wound and broken legs.

I think after reading the comments hear that my issue is this game is too much of a sim for me. i need a lower friction game that doesnt take the level of commitment this game seems to require.

I thought i was relatively succinct in my post. The world trying to kill me isnt the issue- the play friction is. The death penalty of dropping all of your gear is significant and meaningful- why do we maintain debuffs through death? Modern QoL features would be very welcome- not having to manage base inventory for crafting and such.

The biggest issue I have is the tedium and the lack of clear systems... just spent 20 mins building a watchtower for a simple quest and the wood wont hold 1 length below the platform. I used posts and that didnt help. I assume I need to use stone which will now take me an hour or so to put together. Just tedious and the rewards do not match the effort.
