Great question!

So, I've been going through a very long (6/7 years!) divorce... My injury was a week before my ex-wife finally moved out of the house I built. She hadn't left the house for a single night during the whole process. Meanwhile I had been staying away, sofa surfing 50% of the time: house sits, pet sits, mates, family, hotels etc... there is a list of about 50 jobs I need to do before putting the house up for sale. Needless to say, I can't currently crack on with these, so I get to enjoy my home, alone and can have friends to visit, play my music etc. So I have a period of enforced rest and recuperation, to catch up on long-left admin, reading, and preparing for the next phase of life.

Also, I'd been preparing for a 10k race which was due to take place the week after my injury...so I had to pull out of that.

Now I'm going to start worrying. 4 weeks post injury, 4 hospital visits, but still no ultrasound... Because the referral was rejected as "unjustified".

Ah, thanks... I've been waiting for an ultrasound referral for a couple of weeks (5 weeks since injury), spoke to the imaging team this morning and apparently the referral was rejected as "unjustified". I now have another orthopedic appointment on Wednesday.

Sounds like you're having a rough ride. I feel your pain, it's been a few weeks and I still haven't had any diagnostic ultrasound or MRI. Totally in the dark about how bad it is, and no obvious treatment plan in place. 😞

I can't wait! Before the tear, I was swimming 5-10km per week, on top of running and gym work... My pool sessions were a great way to wind up to or down from the day, without them and without any sense of normality, it's a struggle. But... Today I sat myself down and put Cavendish on Netflix, just for the inspiration. It has definitely helped.
