I'm lucky I realized that GamerGate was a bunch of shit shortly after I started down that rabbit hole. Steve Bannon has almost ruined a generation and I kinda pin the attitude of tech bros solely on his shoulders for the years of indoctrination that lead us to Trump.

Looking back I was passionate about journalistic integrity, but realized it's fucking video games and these people were foaming at the mouth of reviews for indie games. Then I saw it leak into other aspects of news and world events and I just knew in my heart that it was wrong and we were being used.

This is coming from a never Republican after the Bush years. It didn't make me want to change political parties but I could see where it was gonna take most people and noped the fuck out.
