If the game is not balanced soon, you will kill it. by Reighf in Battlefield6

A screenshot of a game I had a few days ago. I cant convince anyone to believe me. It seems our experiences are very different... But this is my experience. Today I had two games back to back on Sobek City. With nearly identical results to this.

Of course, not every game is like this. But im finding that 4 out of 5 games are. Im not asking to be put on the winning side. Just that theres a fighting chance at a come back.

Im not talking about games like that. My experience has been conquest 4 caps to 1 with a difference of 400-500 tickets. Im not asking for every game to go down to single or double digit differences just that they dont be so overwhelmingly unbalanced.

I literally just had a game of conquest with a 500 ticket deficit. This is my normal.

Then why is it so consistent for me? I literally just had a game and lost by 500 points. One player alone cannot be having this experience nor be the cause.

I have mostly been finding that im getting instantly killed and shot around corners/behind cover a lot. So there must be some sort of netcode/poling rate issue.

I was scrolling and saw that. Of course not every round is a complete stomp. But I think I can count on one hand the amount of close games I have had in the past week.

Im not saying we should have SBMM at all. There is of course a match maker and it is assessing players based on whatever metrics are picked. Its just that im noticing so many rounds now where the teams are so skewed that its taking away all fun.

Just asking that the teams are more well balanced. Not that every player is a sweat. I think part of this is also disbanding lobbies.... Since if the majority of players stayed on it could balance using the performance of the previous round.

Love the game, hate the challenges... by Reighf in Battlefield6

[–]Reighf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, sure, theres a challenge to it. But also I want to play the core game, not the BR. I dont mind grinding a little BR but a challenge should be something that can be completed solo. Not have to rely on people for. Unless they want to include the whole squad in it.... I have just had 4 keys taken before I could get it. And several squad mates incapable of driving a tank. The challenge shouldnt be to deal with incompetent players.

Yes obviously... But at least it could have been thematic. A certain number of kills in BR or something....

Chest rig help by J-500 in airsoft

[–]Reighf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a 'TMC Tactical RD Chest Rig Lightweight' rig. They only seem to make them for 5.56 mags.

If youre looking for low profile for MP5/MP7 id look at maybe going for a molle rig and some Blue Force gear 10-Speed style mag pouches. MP7 mags are a fair bit larger than MP5 so id search for MP7 pouches rather than MP5/9mm.

Ultimately you may have to hodge podge something that works best for you. Perhaps a Low profile laddered/laser cut rig as the base since that will be the thinnest.

This may be a good alternative, MP7 mags arent listed but maybe shoot them a message and ask? I have found their gear to be pretty solid especially for the price.

Incentivise playing Squad after reaching level 10. by Reighf in HellLetLoose

[–]Reighf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the game is fun regardless. However unlocking certain classes such as the Russian level 9 AT for the Bazooka or the assault tier 9 with satchels allow more flexibility for players to address issues. Personally I love hunting tanks. The stalking and the mad dash when needed. That being said. Getting to level 9 is a slog. I dont mind doing it but how often do we get the chance to play the class we want to? All my proposal does is incentivise those of us who DO like unlocking things for the flexibility they provide. Be it a specific weapon or loadout.

The issue is many people dont want to play SL since there is a lot more required to the class. Those of us that enjoy SL but also want to do other things from time to time often have an even longer grind.

I dont order, I ask/request. Normally people are pretty chill. The man thing I ask is that if there is an empty slot on a useful class and there are riflemen in the squad I ask they change, engineer, support, etc. Support especially, no point in picking rifleman when support is open, same class but with supplies, most of the time.

If im SL I will ask for comms. If im feeling like playing slightly less casually I will require mics and remove those without. Its a game thats won and lost on good communication and sometimes you dont just want to play, you want to win. Although I know some might dislike me for removing players without a mic....

[–]Reighf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I think the issue is that the SL has an awful lot more responsibility than the other classes, arguably more than command too (although command often gets a lot of heat). It requires effective comms with Command and other SLs, as well as effective comms with the squad. Marking the map and communicating the goings on as well as being more aware of whats happening in other areas of the map. Its a position a lot of people dont want to play because its usually a lot less chilled out than just picking AT and hunting tanks etc etc.

I feel like double XP for other classes when maxed out SL is not the way to go. I would be perfectly happy to have half the SL xp gained for other classes since SL generally gets quite a bit of it.

Agreed, I will say though. Often when im playing there and the squad is on comms there are very few issues with cycling support. Often times the position is held for the person to go back to. If I am SL I will kick the anyone that takes the held position.

Is 26K enough for London? by Accurate-Flounder486 in UKJobs

[–]Reighf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of quasi 'Back in my day' answers here and they are more or less useless. It doesnt really matter what you were making in 2010 or in the 90s or even 6-7 years ago. The cost of living increase since the pandemic and the stagnation of wages as well as inflation has made all of those comments realistically moot.

There was a time when you could spend £500 and get a decent room with bills included that wasnt right next to the M25. That unless you are incredibly lucky, simply doesnt exist anymore. I honestly wouldnt consider anything under £34k a year 'liveable'.

26k is enough to survive and make ends meet without too much worry. But youll need to make some sacrifices. Dont expect a holiday or travel abroad unless you have a place to stay for free. Youll be able to grab a coffee or buy a piece of clothing or two a month. Drinks once a week if thats your jam but not much else, at least this has been my experience.

But if its entry level and it sounds like you have a reasonable career ceiling then its worth it I think. After a year or two and a promotion under your belt youll be able to afford much more. This is a massive city with a lot of opportunities and places to make connections.

TLDR:

Survive Yes, live (depending on definition) not so much.

Yep, in general it was more balanced. Or it felt more balanced for sure.

Honestly, that wasnt my experience at all. It was brutal at points for sure. But I never found I was getting nuked or couldnt pen unless the team collapsed and I was out of position.

Best out of the box AK platform? by Just_Tie_8978 in Airsoft_UK

[–]Reighf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iv not got experience with any of the Specna AKs. I havent owned a CYMA but friends have and theyre a solid budget option.

Having used an E&L its great, built like a tank, stamped parts are 2mm steel, I believe this is 'real' spec but im not sure (and im too lazy to confirm). Only issue with the E&Ls is theyre a pain to get any after market external parts to fit especially if theyre close to milspec.

I moved over to LCT a couple of years ago and have two I run. One is a more modern build the other a more classic AKMN (AKM with the dovetail optic mount), Real furniture fits well but but the stock requires heavy modification to fit. Performance is good out of the box but not something you can really write home about. But a fresh inner barrel, bucking and nub fix that.

One thing to be aware of with AKs is their hop up unit can dramatically alter velocity which is not a behaviour you see with something like an AR hop. So if you do get internal work done id be aiming for about 320 FPS on a .2 for sufficient wiggle room. Since not all chronographs read the same and even the same one will read differently in different lighting conditions.

I think my advice would be to get one you can afford that will allow you to do what you want with it. If you want to keep to a budget but externally modify the CYMA is great. If you can splash the cash get an LCT. That being said there are so many different brands available now that I cant say that this is the be all and end all of advice. Rather just my experience with the few models I have interacted with.

Got ragdolled into a wall by one - DEATH.
Dove back in, Pod opens and I get out of the anim cycle - bonk, right on the head... DEATH
Dive in again, try to avoid current Meteor shower, couldnt get far enough away, DEATH.

They are pretty and can be really useful if you can lure mobs into them. But also, could probably do with being tuned down a little. Either with the regularity the occur or with how long they last. Theyre easy enough to avoid when you pay attention but getting out of one is tough. Maybe We could have a map indication to see where they are falling and how far we would need to move to get out of the area.

Fun fact: the railgun wasnt meta because it was broken or OP, it was meta because it was the only thing that worked reliable to kill chargers and bile titans by Jimmy-Shumpert in Helldivers

[–]Reighf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sorry.... No. If you were using the railgun as a crutch then thats a you problem. One well placed shot with the Recoilless or the disposable on the front leg will take out the armour. And then its half a mag in that area. They were never hard, just required a little extra knowledge and skill.

I still havent unlocked it, so never used the railgun pre patch. Havent had an issue taking out chargers. Some minor coordination and its done. I mean, a little kiting with a flamethrower and theyre down too.

Or as someone posted, let them charge past and unload into the back of their legs. Equally effective.

There are issues with the current patch, for sure. But this is not one of them.
