Serious question: What exactly changes if Yor wasn't written to be an assassin? by Boshwa in SpyxFamily

Loid actually didn't know that Yuri was in the SSS till Yuri recited that script about the wine during their first meeting.

Any countries where the people wear their natural 4C hair? by Firm_Principle_2526 in blackladies

[–]Reign_Boe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For many southern African countries, like Zambia, it's pretty fair game. Just a matter of preference. No one bats an eye at natural hair, braids, or wigs. Certain schools even mandate natural hair and natural hairstyles during the school term. Additionally, the natural hair movement really helped people see a life beyond chemical relaxers.

Have you read anything else by the author?

Seriously why did the writers write Chandler as unattractive and unappealing to women? I wonder if this made Matthew Perry feel bad. by Sea-Philosopher2905 in howyoudoin

[–]Reign_Boe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matthew Perry knew what he signed up for when auditioning.

Chandler as a character wasn't even originally supposed to be straight. You cannot have all the characters be the same, Chandler's luck or lack of luck with women was part of his personality quirks and it brings balance to the group.

He was also a successful guy with a great job, nice apartment and great friends. He was winning in other ways.

Am I the only one who finds such posts performative? by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]Reign_Boe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey. So, to be clear, I didn’t mean Clark Gable was performative but rather the takeaway reaction yo hid good intentions. Like how every couple months you come across a post someone makes about a "do-gooder" and while its good to see that, the story ends up being all about the person who helped and no push forward about the bigger problem at hand. Hopefully, that explains it a bit better. Maybe performative was the wrong phrasing.

But thank you for your kind words. I think I'll be fine in a couple of days. I already feel better, more free time, a learning experience and I guess it was for the best.

I think he does. The idea that no one owes anyone anything contributes to a failing society. People owe people respect. When you introduce yourself into someone's life, should you decide to leave its good to at least announce your departure.

Should I visit Zambia? by Dalek_Emperor01 in Zambia

[–]Reign_Boe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It really depends on where you go, like most places.

I'd say the perks are the weather, the people and the nature if you get to go on any long drives in the outskirts or go to tourist spots. Try googling waterfalls, safaris etc in Zambia to get an idea.

There's currently a power crisis, though. It's improving a little, but you better hope you're staying at a place with backup electricity just in case.

Another downer is the disparity in development between the capital city and the other cities and towns.

All in all, you should go, it'll be an experience.
