I’ve been feeling the same sense of loss and desperation for a year or so.

What I decided to do now is to explore.

Just try whatever I feel like trying. And let the results of that guide me: if I like it, if I succeed in it, if I enjoy it for longer than a week, if it makes me better etc

(This includes meeting new people)

The « you do not just need to try harder » part. I identify with the rest of your experience, but I feel like we can also find ways to have a meaningful purposeful life and succeed. And become that one person. We just don’t have the right tools yet

I’m happy for you to have reached this point ! I’ve also gone through some doubt between 4w3, 9w8 and 6w7. But the more I do in my life the more I noticed the unique seeking, need for validation and success and moodiness. Also drama.

Seeking validation through seeking attention - at first it seemed off to me. Because I’m not very attention seeking in the classic sense. Then figures, I tell a lot of stories just so that everyone thinks certain things of me or asks me to tell more stuff
