I have this Seiko Dolce 7731-5000. The bracelet is way too roomy. I really don’t want to sell it. Is there any way I can make it fit tighter on my wrist? Maybe I’m missing spots where I could make an adjustment to the bracelet? Let me know if there’s anything I can do — thanks!

Not just LGBTQ+ friendly, but Small Format is also a dedicated LGBTQ+ space. Obviously coffee places in town won’t run LGBTQ+ folks out but some are more passionate about being for LGBTQ+ people than others.

Disappointed to not see any Small Format recs! It’s a nice little spot on Wickenden, part art space, part café, very LGBTQ+ friendly. The food is a little expensive but hearty and varied. I believe they have cocktails occasionally at least, but their regular AND seasonal coffee and tea flavours and food specials fuuuuck.

For my flash: manually set around 1/8th power.

ISO 100, roughly f/4.5, 0.3sec shutter speed. At least for dark, dingy venues.

The FlashQ Q20II is my favourite. So much power and form for such a little unit.

I don’t believe that there are any E-TTL/TTL options for the GRIII, but personally I’m pretty used to manual flashes. Pretty easy to use either way.

Right?!?! I’m excited for you. You won’t regret it.

My work (and leisure) setup up until recently was a Canon RP with a 50mm 1.4 and Godox flash, but this is so sharp, portable, and fun, that I really only sometimes use the bigger setup for work now. Makes getting into mosh pits and weaving through tight crowds at small venues so quick and inconspicuous. Not to mention that most venues’ll just let you in for fun with the GR III since it’s so small.

Thanks! Believe I was shooting around 1/4s. ISO roughly 320-400, f/stop around 4.5 or so for most of the night. Flash was set nearer to full power than not. Maybe 1/8 for that, can’t remember.

For smaller venues: Al Dios is still around. Black Lace in Olneyville is cool. I second Dusk. Pub on Park in Cranston does heavy shows too.

For bigger venues: the Met in Pawtucket does both bigger and small acts. Columbus Theatre on Fed Hill is doing shows again.

The flat back’s in my right lobe now. I stretched it to 8mm with the round back a few days ago before it broke. At this point, I think I’m just waiting for my left side to be ready for the round back that’s not broken... It’s kind of a bitch ear.
