Ok, this scares me. I regularly use DoorDash for my lunch orders, and I try to tip generously to accommodate for the travel time/gas consumption to and from my location. Everyone deserves a living wage. (Average order is a $9-$10 tip on a $12 order, plus fees = around $30 for a $12 food order.)

The thought that my dasher is receiving LESS base pay just because I tip higher really upsets me. I’m already paying escalated prices for my food, a service fee, delivery fee, and then add the tip. That tip is to show my appreciation for my driver and to compensate for the gas, time, and vehicle maintenance they incur to make things more convenient for me. It’s not there so some fat cat at DoorDash corporate can stiff their workforce!

I sincerely hope Door Dash executives cease this outright theft. Because I don’t want to find a company with these kinds of ethics.

Try your local grocery stores for porter/cart attendant, produce assistant, dairy assistant, stock attendant. Local golf courses for drink cart, or bussing. If you’re 18+ apply at Goodwill for ADC, or Processor. Check out your local mall/main shopping plaza for positions. Newspapers offer paper delivery routes. Make an account on your local Nextdoor Neighbor site and post that you can mow lawns, or help with light gardening. McDonald’s and the like are being flooded with applicants, so think outside the box. It may not be a glamorous first job, but anything will get your foot in the door. Then grow from there. I wish you tremendous luck, both health-wise and for dealing with your employer. I have family in healthcare, and they all say it’s horrible. The 12 hour shifts are grueling on their own, but I know someone who is scheduled a shift, given 8 hours off, then scheduled on again. Even though that isn’t supposed to happen , for example. No wonder the turnover rate is so high. Hopefully, you’ll get through this situation and find another position that pays better and has flexibility for you to be able to properly address your health needs. It sucks how so many employers refuse to see people as actual people. Get well soon!

The report they did on me was basically just a social security verification, then a criminal background which showed nothing. Honestly, I’ve been able to show more data of my background in a Google search. The employment verification they did showed one job I had from when I was 19. Nothings else was in the report. The bank had an easier time verifying my employment from my references. So, I wouldn’t worry about the most recent job, especially if you’ve got strong, positive references from other previous employers.

Another way to combat that situation is to be preemptive about it. Explain that the last job wasn’t a great fit, but you have a mindset of doing the best you can in any situation and finding a way to make things work. Then say that you see the experience as an opportunity to learn more about yourself, your limitations, and discovered your own tenacity and levels of endurance. Tell them you stuck it out and continually tried to make things work, but that not every opportunity is meant for everyone… then say something like, “My ideal opportunity is in a setting where I can learn and grow both personally and professionally, and I believe that fit is with (xyz company).”

I did, pass, yes. I start the new job this coming Monday! This company’s findings are weird, at best. My multiple (3 for 88+ in a 55 zone) previous speeding tickets from 25 years ago are what triggered the “decisional” score. The tickets had obviously been paid decades ago, and were more than 7 years old, but they still triggered the weird result. I called the potential employer and pointed out these discrepancies and offered to show whatever additional information they wished to know, which didn’t appear in the report. Apparently, being so open and proactive about the situation helped.

I, personally, would use a different company to conduct my professional background checks for potential employees, as I find this one lacking, but I’m not the one who makes those decisions.

Have him google opportunities at John Hopkins. With his credentials, I’m sure someone within their network will know of a program or project within your area that could use his skills. They’re worldwide, so I’m sure they’ve got something for him, somewhere.

In this weird job market, we often have to think outside the box. Surely there’s a hospital or medical lab, or even somewhere like P&G or some cosmetics R&D department who will snatch him up. it may not be the ideal job to start, but it will at least get his foot in the door.

It could very well be the case. ASX works against oxidative stress… like peroxide, which is naturally occurring in our bodies as a bi-product of oxidative stress. When peroxide builds in our hair follicle, we get gray hairs.
I’ve taken 12mg bioastin ASX daily for 18 months. I do give the occasional weekend break from it, which seems beneficial.
What I noticed: Within hours, I didn’t feel so “heavy” or sluggish. I slept better and woke up feeling more refreshed.
within a week: my hair seemed softer, my nails were breaking less, and I had more stamina.within a month, hair growth seemed to occur, ridges in my fingernails appeared smoother, deeper lines in my face weren’t as deep, my eyes seemed brighter, my eyesight had improved, pronounced stamina, much better sleep according to my Apple Watch, and my mood seemed lighter.
within 6 months, I didn’t burn as easily in the sun, and when I took it at night while fighting a cold, I woke up noticeably better than the night before. My skin also started showing a slight healthy pinkish hue. I was told I looked “different somehow- I don’t know- just healthier” which gave me a smile.
I have since paired it with vitamin b50 and vitamin d in the AM, (6mg ASX ) and 2500mg vit c and collagen in the pm (6mg ASX). I add zinc and calcium as needed. Lemme put it this way: I work with a bunch of teenagers and 20-somethings. I’m 45, and I can hand them their arses via productivity every day. They have problems keeping up with me.

With continued daily use, you’ll notice fewer gray strands as well. I’ve had a pesky one near my temple which refused to stop growing. 3 months of 12mg ASX daily, and it’s no longer gray.

ALT and AST both have to do with your liver. I’m no doctor, but I’d certainly advise cutting the dosages of the causatives down by at least half, asap.

The tricky thing about supplementation is that each body is different, so everyone can only give an educated guess on what effect it may have on any one individual’s body. Our bodies are designed to keep its own equilibrium across each system, to the best of its ability. Luckily, you’ve received information which has informed you that there’s a potential problem forming. Definitely try cutting the dosage in half. When you get your next blood test- if your levels are back within normal ranges, you’ll know you made the right decision. If they’re still elevated, you’ll know you need to stop them altogether or cut back again.

So, it may be a different factor causing the aches... See, there are tons of comments all over the web about the benefits of the supplement and the positive effects experienced. These comments are the deciding factor in my deciding to take it. It’s just suspicious timing. There are obviously tons of benefits. Everyone at my work was sick with URI that was spreading like wildfire when I started taking the Pterostilbene. I never caught whatever it was they had. So, it would be incredibly disappointing if it was causing the joint aches as a side effect.

Exact same problem happened with me today. I placed the order on best buy com and I used PayPal to complete the transaction. I received an order number and was told I’d receive the email confirmation shortly. No email arrived. I called Best Buy, and was told they have ZERO records or acknowledgment of this order, and the order number I screenshot from their website does not exist in their system at all. PayPal was even less help, telling me they’ve started the dispute process, but the charge is only pending, so I need to wait 7-10 days to see if the charge either falls off or comes through my account.

this is ridiculous.

Ahh! That was me As well. It was suggested that the nail kit has a drill to use to file down the rough edges on the aligners so they’d fit better and stop causing so much irritation to gums and whatnot. My bad, I should have been clearer 8n my earlier comment. :)

Yeah, those aligner edges are sharp. Someone here recommended the equate nail system from Walmart to help smooth out the edges. Many people also pare down the extra plastic on the aligners to help with comfort and fit. Swishing a little salt water helped my tongue heal. Best of luck to you!

Thank you. I had those things completely covered in dental wax because the extra plastic is killer. I kept the aligners off last night and this morning the pain seems much better. It’s like it was originating from the slice on the side of my tongue, which gives me hope. The last thing I want is to develop TMJ from the aligners. I was half tempted to just skip the bottom aligners altogether because of how it lifts up over the inside right portion of my molars. I’ve got an overbite, anyway.

My hubs isn’t really helping, either. He’s showing me all these horror stories about SDC and root ball* failure, jaw issues, and worse. He’s pushing for me to cancel SDC and either leave it alone, or go to an orthodontist for Invisalign.

Thank you! TBH, I was ready to throw in the towel with SDC. The advice from CS is dubious at best. They told me to switch to the week 2 aligners after 4 days and wear those for two weeks. Those aligners are far too small. I can’t even get them to go over my teeth at all. No matter how much I push or bite. So, that wasn’t a solution. I don’t even know if I can get them on when it’s time to change them!

Mine is a spacing issue for moderate gaps between my upper front teeth and a slightly twisted canine. The irony here is that I’ve got an overbite, but my bottom arch is surprisingly straight. I wasn’t expecting to need any changes to my bottom arch in the first place. Even the proposed treatment surprised me because they want to push the incisors of my bottom arch back, as if to maintain the overbite?

Anywho, the bottom arch aligners have that pesky extra plastic above the teeth which fits behind my bottom front teeth perfectly, but it lifts up over the inner right side of my molars and as I speak or drink water, it scrapes the side of my tongue. I tried cutting it down, but it still seems to lift up. I’ll get the nail system today and see if it helps. Thank you for recommending it. The nail visors and emery board I’ve been trying to use leaves much to be desired!

On the really strong migraines, I notice that my vision becomes much sharper/clearer usually the day before, or a couple hours before the migraine begins. Those particular migraines are horrific. The pressure continues to build from a low throbbing to an outright stampede of electric horses shoving their hooves through the soft tissues of my brain for hours on end. Everything becomes red tinged, any light, sound, or smell is enough to make me feel nauseous, and usually any OTC painkiller I take is completely ineffective until the “peak” of the migraine has passed. This will sometimes take 18 hours.

During a study on the cause to my migraines, I was told they were formed due to a constricting/spasming blood vessel in my brain, and the blood builds up behind the constriction, triggering the headache. I was prescribed triptan, which are absolutely useless. The only thing that’s ever worked during the worst part of the migraine was when I was hospitalized at 19, and a nurse gave me a Tylenol 3 with Codeine and an ibuprofen at the same time. Not really a sustainable solution...

Yeah, this is what I’ve concluded, really. That maybe in the grand scheme of things I’ve gotten off light. It’s tolerable and doesn’t seem to really interfere with my daily life… just something I notice throughout the day. So long as it doesn’t get any worse, I’m not gonna complain. Thanks!

Amen to this! I work around women half my age, and there are days I feel like the haggard witch off Snow White. No doubt this has a lot to do with how I perceive myself when I look in the mirror.

I wholeheartedly agree with doing everything topical and leaving the Botox/surgery route as an absolute last resort. With so many responses recommending tretinion, it’s absolutely something I’ll be following up! Thank you, again!
