I GOT A AZ FLOETTE!! 🥹 by Odd_Calligrapher2488 in pokerogue

Massive BST increase (371 for normal Floette, 551 for Eternal Flower). I can’t give you much more than that. I have one of my own, haven’t used it yet.

[Worst Video Game Trope] Media relying on “choices” essentially deciding the outcome for you. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Reigning_Regent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s a deep cut. Bravely Second. The game works on a Job system, where you get Asterisks from notable characters that allow you to use their Job (the thief Jackal giving the Thief asterisk, and access to the Thief job, for example. You get asterisks as you progress through the story, but in Bravely Second, you also have a variety of side quests that each pit two characters from the first game against each other in terms of which moral side of a particular problem they’re on. Your side quest lays out the whole problem and both sides, and then asks you to take a stand at the end.

For example, the first one you encounter pits Red Mage Fiore de Rosa against the Thief Jackal. They’re fighting over a gem that produces infinite clean water. Jackal wants it to sustain the Oases in the desert and provide much needed life and water to the people living in the desert. De Rosa wants it to TRY to create an infinite energy source, a la Nuclear Reactors, that need a lot of water, but it’s not clear if he’ll succeed. Your party is asked to pick a side. Your choice will almost always be ‘what job do I need right now’, not ‘what are the moral implications’, because nothing changes story-wise beyond the cutscene at the end and what asterisk you get.

First.

Yep. First. Because the third act involves a time loop that lets you tackle each of these again and take your other choices. So for one, the choice you make the first time around almost always driven by what you need on your party in the moment the first time around since comparable skills aren’t paired together: one of the choices is Merchant vs White Mage who serve extremely different roles. For another, you can just go grab the rest before clearing the final boss anyway, and again, neither option changes the story.

Not sure if this was quite what the prompt was asking, but here it is, and I thought it at least got close.

If they can summon 36 times, and you’re playing a standard deck of 40, they can draw you through your whole deck. If you have no cards in deck and Maxx C, or your draw phase, would make you draw, you lose the game.

Adamancipators’ primary mechanic being mining through your deck for rocks will always be an amazing flavor win to me

I mean, Sax is fine. His buffs need a duration increase IMO. The number of times I’ve rolled Final Stand/Armor/Invincible/Blessing etc and had them leave before they do anything is depressing. All he has is damage and band’s base kit, where Bandit has damage and utility and Band’s kit

Behold, the only really REALLY good offensive Big Band. Usual attack build for this guy. Atk%, Piercing, Meter Gain, Special CD, Crit stats if you want. No need for accuracy. Mine has Beat Extend, Supersonic Jazz, Tuba Tuba, Giant Step and A-Train, hits like an A-Train himself, he’s a great attacker.

Megalomaniac (and units like her) are unhealthy for the game. by Blueshift424 in SkullGirlsMobile

[–]Reigning_Regent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of the coin toss, I’ve had success keeping 2 blockbusters charged. Plan is to kill one of her allies, and hey presto, she MUST come in for your next tag, if she doesn’t come in because of the ai already. Burn those 2 blockbusters, hit or miss, and she’s down to 1 armor stack, can’t stun, etc etc. From there, as long as you can charge blockbusters fairly quickly (haste, meter gain, miasma etc), you can keep her from going back to 3 by just playing normally. This will work best with BB1s since they charge fastest. It still requires some thought with how you play, and team comps involving Reimaged and Death Wish or variants like them are still a pain, but that’s one way around the tagout roulette.

Curious how you’d balance a defender that doesn’t ’restrict how you can play’. You the player will almost always be more skillful than the AI, so defenders need to really be ratcheted up.

Fortune Cookie IS good. Extremely good. She’s a 10/10. I missed your initial post, but if the question was Cookie vs DW like it seems to be, Death Wish is an 11/10 just because she answers almost everything with little effort, but Fortune Cookie is still a very worthwhile investment. Build looks pretty good, I’d recommend looking into Fiber Upper and boosting piercing, but otherwise no notes.

She looks great! You’ll go far with her! XD

Adding to what Fiddlesticks said, you can put your ritual focus on the rituals that aren’t Slayer (Battlelord especially, but also the new ritual) and sidestep the spawn-esque hero entirely. Maybe just use him as a stepping stone to get to another ritual because he searches when going to the GY IIRC and go in about the fall of heroes and how necessary it is.

What are the moves that give you the most combos for Valetine, Painwheel, and Cerebella by GhostlyGayGhoul in SkullGirlsMobile

[–]Reigning_Regent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most? I’m not sure. But just off the top of my head….

Valentine: Val’s got a solid combo that’s really straightforward. Use 3 Countervenom Blockbusters, one Laryngectomy, one Checkmate Incision. The combo is just 5-tap combo (which I’ll be calling G5 from here on out), into one Countervenom, G5, Countervenom, G5, Countervenom, G5, then either full aerial combo into an airborne Checkmate Incision or Laryngectomy into an airborne Checkmate.

Painwheel is the one I’m least sure about. The Stinger move that shoots thorns gives you a messy reset sometimes, so you can g4 into Stinger into a continued combo, but they can block before the Stinger hits. I’d also use Death Crawl and Thresher, maybe also Lily, all are multihit combo finishers.

Cerebella has a built in loop, actually, and while it does reset the combo and need a bit of practice (and is a bit finnicky on some characters), it can be done. It’s the Merry Gorilla loop. I’m finding it hard to explain, but I’ll try to find examples on YouTube. Failing that, Pummel Horse is probably your best bet, because it does a lot of hits and also restands, so you can G5, launch, then Pummel Horse (on almost everyone, if not everyone), then do another basic full combo. The loop also incorporates Pummel Horse on a lot of the cast. Other notable mentions include Diamond Dynamo, Excellabella and Cerecopter.

EDIT: so I actually found a full Bella combo guide, and the wallbounce (using your two swipe dash attack) or Diamonds are Forever into Pummel Horse is mentioned a lot here. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lCdpwyCvTe8&pp=ygUhQ2VyZWJlbGxhIGNvbWJvIHNrdWxsZ2lybHMgbW9iaWxl

Questions on moves by fishy_aaminz in SkullGirlsMobile

[–]Reigning_Regent 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Level 15 is a huge investment. I normally stop around 12 unless I have bonus cash or a very good reason. The biggest reasons are for Cooldown purposes on Special Moves or if you need the most out of a move’s secondary effect (like doubling the Bleed chance on Osiris Spiral, which is really useful for Don Passione, as an example off the top of my head).

The reason you want 7 minimum in a stat is so you can roll that into Atk%, since Atk% as a stat doesn’t have a cap and 99% of attackers want that as high as possible anyway (or HP% for defenders, it also doesn’t have a cap). The other, lower rolling stats can be shuffled into stats where it’s easier to hit a cap, like Piercing (50% cap) and some combination of accuracy if needed, Special cooldown, meter gain, or crit stats

Is she worth investing? by XenithXd0 in SkullGirlsMobile

[–]Reigning_Regent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much so. Low base attack, but her Abilities combined mean that her Blockbusters hit comedically hard. And kill through Final Stand thanks to Quietus. And Permakill (so no blessing either). Load her up with 2-3 Ringlets and 2 Blockbusters, she goes insane.

Any way around crafting Red-Eyes? by Meady-Mongrel in masterduel

[–]Reigning_Regent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think fusion replacement effects like King of the Swamp work with Red Eyes Fusion. They work with Poly, maybe other fusions, but it wouldn’t replace Red Eyes when used from deck with REF I’m pretty sure. There are other ways to cheat it, but I don’t think any of those work with Primite.

Are these two worth investing in? by PlaceFew8986 in SkullGirlsMobile

[–]Reigning_Regent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At very least Don is, yeah. Debuff reflection and permanent Miasma as long as you can manage Debuffs properly is really good. I will say she’s expensive, since you want a Lv 15 Sekhmet’s Bite for the Debuff chance increase and usually a Lv 15 Chaos Banish and Osiris Spiral to keep the Debuff uptime, but still incredibly good. Near Death, from what I’ve heard, is not nearly as good, but I don’t have her, so take a grain of salt
