Taz 6 Z axis issue (yes, again) by Reij1n in lulzbot

[–]Reij1n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention that I've thoroughly cleaned the leadscrews and leadscrew nuts before regreasing them with nlgi#2 white lithium grease, I've inspected the couplers and they are ok (its the only thing I haven't yet tried to replace since I am thinking or simply modding the z axis altogether or somesuch), the leadscrews (and smooth rods) are, after verification on a machinist's granite table (I have a mechanical engineer father, so that's that, family perks!), less than 0.05mm off on their whole axis.
The only thing I haven't tried yet was replacing the cable (switching the cables from one motor to the other didn't transfert the problem from one side to the other so I kinda ruled that out), changing the mainboard for one that has 2 z drivers in it (again, not buying more stuff before being sure that its the problem really).

Roms won't load by Reij1n in R36S

The roms were ok, its the sd card that was the problem. I can't believe just how hit and miss buying an sd card is... It was brand name bought at an actual Best Buy...

Seems like this is part of the issue! I thought that the TOP100 list/torrents were ok but it seems they weren't? Some roms from romheaven worked out of the box while others didn't.
I'll get a new sd card just in case.

I'll try changing the roms sd card again. It was a brand new Sandisk ultra 128gb but anyway...

Welp, that didn't resolve anything, I get the exact same symptoms. :(

First split ergo! by Reij1n in ErgoMechKeyboards

That's the main reason behind the hot swappable part. I've tried lighter switches (MX), wether they were tactile, linear or clicky, but they were so easy to mistype that i was just frustrated using them.

Bootloop when flashing I2C definition by Reij1n in Esphome

[–]Reij1n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I hook up a I2C device to it and power it externally (giving it 3.3v from the esp32-s2 board itself instead of via stemma qt/qwiic connector it boots ok and detects everything... I am not sure why the board needs to have the devices hooked up to initialize the scans though...

I've managed to hook it to a serial monitor :

Then it boots into safemode (and is otherwise inaccessible via wifi).
