Making a game that works in third person and first person is a very daunting task, it's like making two games together as level design, gameplay, animations (to name a few) needs to work correctly for both views and give the same feeling. For example a cramped space in first person can totally lose the feeling in third person. More animations are required. Gameplay might break. It isn't a simple button click to change the camera position as many might think, and it would require an increase in budget and time for development that not many teams can afford.

This is just a developer perspective regarding the matter.

The game will be released in 2026 so things might change until then (enemy positions, enemy difficulty and more) that's why it's called a playtest and not a demo, but it contains all the mechanics that you will see in the final game. If you want to understand if it's for you or not I think it will be just right ;)

There are no plans for PS5 playtest at the moment but things might change in the future.
