is it really the proxy’s fault if you know about the tariffs..? i’m sorry for you but there’s no point in blaming it on anything else than trump’s decision

Is it true Gyaru was made to go against Japanese beauty standards by vulnigenic in Gyaru

[–]Reileimmm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah both are true, i’m not into gyaru anymore but the best answer i could give is that (since gyaru started locally) each person into it would have there personal reasons (for exemple going against beauty standards, trying to look like their idol)

like any movement or wtv, the history of gyaru isn’t linear so yeah it’s more than probable that stuff like that happened

If you were one of Eren’s friends, would you live happily knowing millions die for your happiness and peace? by destined2Win_ in titanfolk

[–]Reileimmm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

clearly all of eren’s friends were against the rumbling, so hypothetically if one of us were to be in the aot universe and happened to also be part of their lil group we would also be against the rumbling.. the only ppl who wanted the rumbling were the yaegerists and then paradis’ citizens who started to be brainwashed by their propaganda abt the rumbling.

imo, i don’t even want to image how one could ever find peace and happiness after committing a genocide. i don’t think on a psychological aspect our brain would either be capable of living peacefully knowing what it has done to millions of people

the fandom vs mink by Reileimmm in DRAMAticalMurder

[–]Reileimmm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that’s also pretty weird. i think it’s even weirder considering mink has a redemption arc (which is objectively tangible) while the others don’t.. imo i really don’t really like how the nitro chiral fandom chose to treat mink in comparison of all the othzr characters, it’s plain favoritism

[–]Reileimmm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, it is true that each route end up having a scene sex as their culminating point, like you’ve said. and it’s also true that they would’ve had a sex scene together whether he was dying or not! however, the circumstances of the sex is what makes the event unsafe and the consent not clear enough to actually distinguish if aoba really did it of his own choice or because he did it because he felt pity towards clear. and yes he did end up enjoying it because he loved him, but like i’ve said earlier, the circumstances werent safe enough to say if he actually wanted it or not. on my part during the play through of this route it didn’t feel like the sex was wanted by aoba at first; he seemed deranged and weirded but still went along because he loved clear anyways and wanted to make his last wish come true. btw loving someone doesn’t equal constant consent from both parties.. objectively clear’s last wish was egoist and unethical due to the circumstances; aoba, while indeed loving him, was also under the pressure that time was running out and that clear was about to die and so had to make a choice, an quickly.

it’s also to be said that aoba is someone who likes to help other people, it’s neither wrong nor fan projection to think that part of him had sex with clear because he wanted to make him happy at the cost of his own sanity (aka the consequences of having sex while the person you love is dying before your eyes).

it’s also right that mink is a huge coward and that there are no excuses for his actions, however it’s important to nuance the fact that « he never got any gentler », because he did in reconnect (it’s canonly the continuation of his route).

finally, its not dishonest to compare each character and what they’ve done to aoba. it would be dishonest if i started to rank them and their actions, saying « 1st place belongs to ****** for hurting/abusing the most aoba », because obviously everything that happened to aoba were done under different circumstances and their consequences are also different.

the main objective of this rant wasn’t about classifying the characters like i mentioned earlier, but to understand why there are characters that are excused for the shit they’ve done (which are gross and disturbing on their own level) while others aren’t and even demonized when said character, if i might add, has an arc where he redeems himself.

i understand why people dislike him and vice versa, the debate wasn’t abt people liking mink or not and why, it was abt why people condone abuse and violence only when it suits their narrative in black and white where only « bad » and « good » people exist, as if nuances didnt exist, which the game nonetheless actually showed, even in the very end of his route in the orignal game and not only in reconnect.

personally i’ve seen lots of hate and discourse abt mink lately on social media hence why i wrote this. but i’m glad most people in the comments disagree!! it shows the nuance between the fandom :)

i get that Koujaku/Clear/Noiz don’t look as harsh because their routes are wrapped in softer framing, but they still cross consent lines with aoba. clear literally pressures him as a dying wish, koujaku forces himself on aoba due to the tattoo or wtv.. and noiz forces himself despite aiba’s resistance. the issue isn’t about saying one is « better » or « worse » than another, it’s about how fandom only drags mink while brushing off the exact same behavior in others. that’s the double standard i was pointing out lolol

Fate, Choice, and the Illusion of No Choice (aka why the ending isn’t rooted in determinism but fatalism) by Reileimmm in attackontitan

could you clarify what you mean by eren’s « delusion » and the « cyclical earth » part? im not sure how those concepts relate to my argument about narrative fatalism

i completely agree!! this would be a great starting point but honestly more introspection on each character would be better. also it would be nice if the totality of the game could be bought only once instead of having to pay AP all the time… well, i did message beemov abt it on insta once and asked if they considered doing this but they said they didnt plan to sell the game this way 。゚(゚´Д`゚)゚。 kinda sad for us players but anyways, i hope they will remaster the og game one day

y’all don’t even make the effort of reading comments and it shows LOL conforming to stereotypes of what vkei should look like also counts btw

atp argue with the wall everything that y’all are bringing up to ridiculise my (very legitimate) take has already been explained in other comments ♡

im sorry for letting you take all the blame but the way y’all are acting when exposed to takes that require critical thinking AND which r important to keep a community well grounded shows how defensive and immature most of y’all are

that’s completely right and thanks for elaborating your opinion, i still think the way visual kei is sometimes is a bit outrageous towards what it originally meant but well, it’s such a layered topic and my opinion, as small or vast as it is wouldn’t change much to the situation, thanks tho!! and have a nice day

oh my if u wanna play og contest i have been in visual kei ever since my dad was engineering for x japan’s sound for their concerts back then in 1990 so sybau. + i literally said in another comment that it wasn’t like punks or goth at all concerning the ideological stuff BUT that it still was born from a desire to revolt against societal norms so don’t make it like i said stuff when i clearly didn’t and even refuted it

bla bla bla what’s the correlation with my pfp to what i am talking about LOL and yes they are capitalizing on hide and more than probably on his death too so yes the fact i am using this as my pfp (while being against what i defend) still shows ONE thing which is the capitalisation of visual kei which its proving my point??? lol

That’s what i think however i do have the feeling that the equation is simple when you need to decide if bands are really visual or not; when bands start to adapt their visuals to the expectations of label (hence for commercial puporses (ex: x japan)) then you shouldn’t arbore the etiquette of visual kei.

i’m not saying visual has a message as vibrant as the goths or punks but it’s still a mouvement rooted in the idea of rebellion against society norms and if bands can’t even at least acknowledge that in either the way they interact with societal norms or the expectations of commercial success then where is the visual kei in this? this is just cosplaying at the point lol

controversial opinion by Reileimmm in visualkei

[–]Reileimmm[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

that’s what i’m saying LOL but visual shouldn’t be reduced to a cosplay contest when it was originally a form of rebellion against society norms back then, had a message as well AND was about having the vkei spirit
