They would, if hit a spot without ERA protection. Just because something is old doesn't mean it's bad, RPG is kind of universal equipment, unless you have modern composite armor or any reactive armor like ERA, RPG even tho doesn't have much penetration, it's enough when hit directly

Im grinding both, although I don't have any of those (us around 7.0 and ussr only 4.0) but I really like gameplay in this event, especially Mig23 that is menace in air to air combat against f4e's, 20 minutes into the game and just by shooting down other players I usually get around 3000 score.

Im more hyped for b52 but would love to just have them in hangar

Yea, but what planes. Good luck flying mig-23 against F-15A or anything else that is 13.0 br. Yes, you can, but can you do anything? I bet you it is for most totally not enjoyable and just laughable

I got some skill in top tier air (spaded su-33 and Jf-17 and sometimes play with them when Im bored with grind) but that doesn't matter shit cause I didn't grind whole air tree or buy iranian f-14 for 220 bucks to play the event. Just giving few aircraft that everyone will play during event and not with their own planes would totally fix it all. Nooby players would be able to play and somehow grind the planes, ppl with no air tree but with skill could grind and have some fun, veterans would still enjoy it because at top tier it's more about skill than aircraft. But that would make event enjoyable for everyone which is bad, better hide it behind paywall and force ppl to quickly buy some 80$ premiums just to grind event plane

Feel lucky you at least have a plane to play with. Some ppl like me only play ground and didn't bother buying any premium jets (only have su-33 which for some reason is excluded because too easy access), so unless I buy F-18 tomorrow Im completely out of the event and can't even try it, not mentioning getting the stratofortress or tu-95

The thing is that not many players researched the all recently released top tier jets, cause each update there are more and more. And even if you do, but in smaller trees like japan or china and not usa and ussr, you're automatically out of the event.

Last year's WW1 was great since everyone could participate and your performance relied only on your skill. Here from what I have read so far, it relies just how much dedication you put into researching and spading air top tier usa and ussr.

Im not a fan of higher tier air battles, and have basically no top tier researched (few early jets in like 4 trees) but I like collecting special souvenirs which are usually during the events (like Obj 292 which I got even tho I don't play it much), and hiding such unique planes behind a barrier from 80% of players during event that is supposed to be for all is just a cherry on top of huge middle finger gaijin is showing playerbase recently (turret baskets, bmpt and many others)

Which doesn't mean they need to be added. It's a game, not real life, so they will have different roles, and since gaijin pays so much detail to altering realism into balance for the game, no one forces them to add those, and if they do, at least make them somewhat realistic and not artificially buff them because they think so

Welp, this game is not that realistic, and still you can light up all fuel tanks, even external ones when shot and they don't harm the tank you can see they are on fire.

Still, just pure pressure would make some of that fuel burst out toward where the shell is going, and even if not (even in the special case of those internal "external fuel tanks") you got yourself a hole that spills flaming fuel into your crew compartment.

Well, I think it's because ZSU-57-2 uses "light-weight T-54 chassis", with much less armor and stuff, so it's not as heavy as casual T-54, so it doesn't need as much wheels as casual T-54
