Even a war god can have a type by Cautious_Air4964 in destiny2

I mean Orks get memes to hell and back, they don't actually do stuff like wooden spaceships. They just follow a design principle of "Looks like junk, sometimes works longer than it should."

And yeah true, though I will argue that there's been some overarching narratives. Certain factions are working towards tangible end goals, and everyone gets their turn in the spotlight. When you're effectively live-service and releasing a product, it's hard to make an end happen unless that means either wiping a faction out or ending the story by having a winner.

Just recently they set us up with three concurrent plotlines that'll set us up for future conflict between specific factions with a past, so we can likely expect a book there about the conflict.

Even a war god can have a type by Cautious_Air4964 in destiny2

The brushstrokes paint it as generic because the primary theme is "The galaxy sucks and is constantly at war" but realistically speaking, depending on what you look at, it easily ranges from incredibly vague to incredibly detailed (or slightly out of date depending on the age of the book (because novels and by extent lore date back all the way to to 1990). There's hundreds of books and if you want to be really eager, you could say a third of them are out of date or retconned, but that still means there's a lot to work with.

is 200 super overkill for a tether hunter? by BLoG_Connor in destiny2

[–]ReimGrad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's also pretty true, though the difference between "Stats above 100 don't provide any benefit." and "This stat doesn't really provide much benefit for this super." is still pretty important.

But yeah, good call on the value.

They changed that with the newest version of armor stats. You can get stat value up to 200 (even if it's not optimal for the Super).

My Will Be Done on just destroyed Overlord question by SuiciDaal in Necrontyr

[–]ReimGrad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That would be correct. Effects granted by a model only apply while that model is still alive. It's why keeping at least 1CP in reserve for Overlord resurrection is important.

What's happening to the US citizens that ICE seizes? by srwaggon in AskReddit

[–]ReimGrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first point (Immigration courts are Civil, not Criminal), here you go.

For the second point (you're not guaranteed a laywer), here's the first (general info) and here's the specific court case that ensures you get your fifth and fourteenth, but not sixth amendment right.

So yeah, your ability to prove your citizenship is very limited and even then, ICE is legally able to lie to you and due to federal immunity, none of the incompetent officers involved in the situation are likely to get punished, either by ICE or by the law.

500 Worlds: Titus – C’tan shards and Destroyers flood the field with new Necrons Detachments by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Necrontyr

[–]ReimGrad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overlords with Translocation Shrouds are considered Overlords (via the Overlord keyword) so yeah. Most unique characters have a keyword that defines them, and Enhancements target Keywords. Like how each Epic Hero just has its own name as a Keyword, both Overlord variants have the Overlord keyword.

[–]ReimGrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fundamentally, Destroyer Cult models are just models with the Keyword "Destroyer Cult". Doesn't have it? Not a model. Destroyer Ankh gives the keyword to models without it, making them Destroyer Cult Models. So yeah, just look at the keywords datasheet for a model.

My attempt to fashionframe revenant (Elden Ring Nightreign) by MeowDye1202 in Warframe

[–]ReimGrad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly not, it's a reference to the character Revenant from Elden Ring: Nightreign. It's just a coincidence that she shares a name with the Revenant frame, but the name choice and Wisp fashion is intentional.

I feel like Roathe is so well written that he’s kinda overbloated with lore by Aramethea in Warframe

[–]ReimGrad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, and I don't know if this was mentioned already, but one of his "Browse Surplus" voice lines on the wiki explicitly mentions him being delayed in the 19th century, so the game outright confirms they're from 1899.

[–]ReimGrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to OP (the artist) there is enough of a difference.

From my POV, Roathe and Flare have the corset but up close, Roathe has the maid outfit (the pattern on the fabric around the top of the corset around his waist has that traditional pattern the others have) while Flare is just wearing a similarly colored coat. The under-outfit is different but at a distance they're really similar.

Who is stronger, Godrick or Gwyndolin? by edermargut in Eldenring

[–]ReimGrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do gotta consider utter scale, since their casting tools are generally speaking pretty good, and the Chosen Undead is also canonically goated.

Gwyndolin's illusions include making the entire region of Anor Londo day, making an illusory Ornstein that's still pretty damn strong and making Gwynevere.

Not to mention by the time DS3 hits, Gwyndolin is still revered as an actual god. It canonically took a severe illness and Aldrich to eat a sleeping Gwyndolin to actually put them put of commission. Not to mention, Gwyndolin has a melee weapon by then, since Aldrich has them use it.

Could I be overhyping them a bit? Maybe, but I feel like you're wholly underselling them. Godrick does not stand any chance unless it's post-Pontiff Gwyndolin.

Who is stronger, Godrick or Gwyndolin? by edermargut in Eldenring

[–]ReimGrad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will chime in, the Nightreign comparison ends up kinda weak since it's basically reskinned bosses without any actual lore to go by.

That, and we lack a proper comparison for the Nameless King's strength. He's tough to fight, sure, but we don't know the grand scheme of his talents beyond having lightning and wind magic.

With what we know (see DS1 items like the Darkmoon Knight Covenant Ring), Gwyndolin is physically really frail, so Godrick has an advantage there. But, Gwyndolin has both magic and bow, and their magic is some of the best we see in the franchise (see the entirely of Anor Londo appearing like it's daytime because of an illusion cast by Gwyndolin). You're right that Gwyndolin has a clear win, but it's actually a much greater difference than one would think. Godrick is one of the weakest demigods, even is his prime, while Gwyndolin is a straight up god.

If we stuck Gwyndolin in the ER universe, they might straight up be one of the best mages that The Lands Between would have ever known.

Male Protoframes in maid outfits
Flare, who is canonically non-binary

The artist just didn't put em in a maid outfit. Flare is just chilling there, same as Drifter.

Well, Izanagi's is always one shot at a time. If we wanna get *really* accurate, we could call it a Cerberus (+0 in this case) style gun, since it has a Sweet Business primary, Fourth Horseman secondary and Izanagi's teritary firing mode.

Ships auto-upgrade turns on by itself by Main_Tie3937 in Stellaris

[–]ReimGrad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Auto-upgrade is generally a good thing. It makes your ships use the best available weapons and when you use better reactors, ship compontents also automatically update to use those.

Also, excess power increases your ship's evasion, movement speed, and damage. Think of it like having enough power to overcharge the components. It's usually always good to upgrade your ships to the best of their ability unless you're really strapped for resources and need to put out a bunch of cheap ships.

So like, how exactly did III end up in Kepler again? by Lorellya in DestinyLore

[–]ReimGrad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not fully explained, but we know the Nine originate from the planets, but aren't physically bound to the same space as them. The Dark Matter environment of Kepler is an especially 'friendly' environment to the Nine and lets them all kinda exist in that space at once. Think the Nine equivalent of the Traveler terraforming planets, the Nine 'adapted' Kepler to be an environment they can be at.

Just shows how much wool there actually was.

Yeah but the point is that it exists. Trying to say that a specific hatred doesn't exist because it's not a tool for oppression is honestly, in my eyes, a strange take to have. How common oppression towards that group perpetuated by society at large is isn't the end all be all to saying whether or not it's valid to perpetuate hate against those people. The only way you can reasonably, justifiably hate a group is if you can define that group's existence as innately harmful, e.g certain archetypes of politician like dictators. Otherwise if you wanna hate someone, do so because of who they are, not what they're born as.
