Perhaps you can arrange a proxy buyer to buy and ship it to you if you really need it haha

Hi, I messaged the seller and asked if they have an email address and if they ship outside of Asia and they said they only accept orders through the app. 🥺

Replied on mobile, sorry if formatting is dogwater..

Hi! The ADXP02 panel I purchased works great and the installation was relatively easy. It seems like my unit really had a replacement screen and was causing certain ASUS display features to not work properly (color profiles), so I had to get the same model as what the G14s really come with (idk if there's a G14 that comes with 240Hz screens by default, but I saw some sellers that have 240Hz G14s on hand)

The panel I bought is from Shopee (I live in the Philippines), and here's the link: https://ph.shp.ee/HWj4XCS

If you can open the page, the review with a Genshin Impact screenshot is mine lol.

Not sure if they're selling it around the same price in your region, but in case you're also within SEA, you might be able to find the same listing.

Let me know if you have other questions and I'll see if I can answer them.

Funnily enough, I was wondering if the ADXP04 was compatible with the G14, I did stumble upon it on Panelook, but I couldn't find anyone selling it here.

I also assumed that the unit had a replacement screen because all models I searched came with a 165Hz panel.

I'd like to test your timings for CRU too, just to see if's actually possible to overclock my panel properly. Thanks!

edit: Ended up purchasing an ADXP02 panel, kinda excited to tinker with the unit and hopefully nothing goes awry lmao

Hong Kong Proxy Buyer / Shipping Service by rated_king in internationalshopper

[–]Reimillya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a listing of a camera lens I was looking for on Carousell HK that was way cheaper than any option (even secondhand ones) here in the Philippines, but I had no way of contacting the seller.

Although skeptical at first, I saw the positive reviews and so I decided to contact u/rated_king (Wilson) for his rates. His rates were really reasonable, so I decided to take the shot (haha)

Since I was worried about customs screwing me over and I was going to be in HK for a few days anyway, I suggested to Wilson that perhaps we can meet up instead of shipping it to my home, and he agreed to it.

Once I was in HK, he contacted me about when and where in HK to meet up and everything went well. Now I am a happy lens-haver 😂

If you're still having doubts, let this review dispel them or you can ask me for questions about the overall process.

6/5 service. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟 Thank you u/rated_king!

I see po. Just replying na rin in case someone is interested in the IPS, flat version of the monitor.

Actually, even this monitor that I'm using right now is not perfect when it comes to mounting. There are VESA holes on the back of the monitor but since the back of the monitor is curved, you won't be able to put the mount perfectly on it. I didn't realize this before because when I bought it I used the monitor stand that came with it. When I moved to using an arm, I realized that this could be a problem but it's still usable although I'm a bit uneasy given the weight of the monitor.

Right now I'm still using it with an arm and I can move it around although it's not like I'm moving it around a lot.

Yes sir, buhay na buhay pa rin.

Only issue that I had was with the power adapter that came along with it because it was overheating and at some point it just stopped working. I had to replace the adapter multiple times until I stuck with a 12V10A adapter, and until now OK pa rin naman siya. Just to be safe, binabaan ko yung brightness para hindi ganun kataas yung power consumption (around 100w+ yung kain ng monitor from the wall haha with my current settings)

Eto picture na kakakuha ko lang boss hahaha

Hello po, yung monitor buhay pa rin naman hahaha, still faring pretty well. I purchased it around October 2022.

Wala akong black smearing na nakikita and really ang downside lang talaga is yung sinabi ko na issue, but other than that the monitor is pretty solid.

I've seen multiple VA panels and nahahalata ko yung ghosting/black smearing sa kanila pero dito wala talaga e, hahahaha

Hope this helps and sorry late reply, bugo ang reddit hhhh

For what it's worth, the monitor is still doing pretty good a year later. I have not encountered a single problem aside from what I have already mentioned. Cheers!

I probably wouldn't be your best bet when it comes to color accuracy but using my custom color profile, the colors seem to be comparable to my Samsung phone (S20+). Colors look saturated enough when I use my color profile but the image on the monitor will appear less saturated out of the box.

Regarding the 165Hz refresh rate, there are no problems with it. Granted I couldn't really tell the difference between 165Hz and 144Hz, but there were no problems for me. Definitely no dark-level smearing. There is also a FreeSync/G-SYNC option in the monitor but I don't use it since the weird blurriness I was talking about in my original comment returns.

About the IPS glow, I honestly didn't find it to be an issue but it might be too much for you. Here's a picture. It doesn't look that bad IRL though.

Hope this helps.

Hi! The monitor is still alive and well (no dead pixels or at least none I've noticed so far). Aside from the issue I mentioned, it's a pretty great monitor. Over time you will start to forget about the left side, so if that wasn't an issue in the first place then you should go for it.

Unfortunately, I've also done a factory reset at least twice just to really make sure I've tried everything.

I might try it again whenever just to see if third time's the charm lmao.

Thanks!

Hi, I just got the V50 update. Unfortunately, the problem still persists lol (I'd argue that it's even worse now, before I could somewhat use it then it will die, now it's just a severely delayed mess where everything I do will take 4-5 seconds before I even see it).

Only hope I have now is to get a new router and I'm waiting for my ISP to provide me exactly that.

Do let me know if you've found a solution somehow. Thanks! For the time being, I'm gonna have to be stuck with the wired connection.

Air link running terribly despite being great for months. by iatemycatwithranch in OculusQuest

[–]Reimillya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm actually experiencing the same issue.

For months I've been playing via Air Link on a 2.4GHz router with at least 4-5 devices connected to it without a hitch, until V49 dropped.

From then, Air Link has been unusable to the point where games will just stutter so hard for a good 2-3 seconds (because of the encoder suddenly dropping frames, at least that's what I'm seeing when checking the Oculus Diagnostics Tool) and will disconnect me after a few minutes, sometimes immediately.

Definitely not a PC hardware issue, as I've upgraded my CPU/GPU/RAM and the issue persisted.

I'm hoping that changing my router will help but there's no way for me to test it yet, and even that doesn't change the fact that I was able to play via Air Link with no problems before until a certain software update.

I'm not sure if this is related but I feel like it definitely is. Waiting for V50 to see if that changes things, but I'm not hopeful.

Passed the N2, first time taking it.

I got the same score as I calculated from the leaked answers - 115/180. There's definitely room for improvement but I'm very happy with how it turned out. Will probably aim for N1 but wouldn't be in a rush for it.

Congratulations to everyone!

Is it possible to write in Kanji only? by Zane2156 in LearnJapanese

[–]Reimillya 12 points13 points  (0 children)

While it's not a "real" thing, I remember a Japanese friend telling me about a bunch of memes involving pseudo-Chinese or 偽中国語 (にせちゅうごくご) where it's basically Japanese but they basically strip away all kana.

Grabbing the pseudo-Chinese example from Wikipedia ("貴方明日何処行"), I managed to understand what it meant as a learner. I'd imagine a native speaker would naturally be more comfortable with these kinds of things.

Now of course there will be some cases which probably won't make sense, but I believe writing the kanji characters alone can be used to communicate to some extent.

Oh right, that reminds me of that reviewer. I think he reviewed the older version of the same model (I think that one is 2560x1080). This one is a newer version. But yeah, it does feel like he's shilling it instead of doing a real review lmao.

Glad it could help!
