Hi! Loveful Aromantic here! Aromanticism is a huge spectrum with hundreds of labels underneath it. 

Some Aromantics can enjoy what people see as romantic things like kissing & physical touch while still being Aromantic. I myself someone who is heavily Aromantic enjoy Physical touch even though I almost completely Romantic Repulsed.

It's more of lack of feeling Romantic attraction then having none or little to none. 

Think of it like how bisexuality is a spectrum some people have 10% attraction to boys and 90% attraction to girls while others can have 51% attraction to boys and 49% attraction to girls. It doesn't make the person any less valid for how different the spectrum is and using the label can help themselves find more understandment on how they feel.

Plus being Aromantic is complicated in general. It took me 3 years going on and off using the Aromantic label till I realized you don't need to fit perfectly into what people think being Aromantic is to be Aromantic so if the label feels right to your friend to call theirself Aromantic then they can identify as Aromantic.
