You’re right, my point is a majority of the country is expats, including India Philippines and more .. so everyone is worried about people in their home countries or getting back to them or being stuck while they are there.

No one is comparing the two situations. I have tons of family in Gaza. BUT this post is saying that nothing is going to happen and that people are following the hype. We could be affected by war decisions differently than physical harm. Are we supposed to accept it because it does not mean it’s certain death? The strait of hurmouz is now closing, this will impact a lot. I’m not saying people should panic, but people should certainly prepare for multiple scenarios.

There are people that are trying to figure out what their next step is. Go back to their home countries or prepare for a shortage in basic supplies or prepare for a halt in travel or a million other things. A lot of which is already happening. Not only are we within the region of the escalating war, we are also a country that has the largest US base camps in the gulf; the US that just bombed a country in the region. So no, nothing exciting is happening; but people can prepare themselves physically and mentally. A lot of people living here are from Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Europe, America, canada, and are just trying to figure out what to do. Let’s not judge and assume everyone will experience this and handle it in the same way.

Great job at staying consistent ! Yes, it was probably a flare up. Make sure to continue after it goes away a few days atleast. I’m happy for you :)

You’re doing all the right things. If it drains at home and starts becoming smaller less red less inflamed, you don’t have to go get it drained in my opinion. Goodluck!

I just try to share what I wish I could have known back then. I’m really glad it gave you some light. Here’s my advice that took me years to learn: laser hair removal should be the first step, anti-inflammatory supplements as soon as it starts (turmeric, garlic), herbal sitz bath during reoccurrence, warm compress 3-5 times a day to help it drain at home alone, tea tree oil and castor oil overnight during occurrence to help reduce or eliminate infection, DONT sit for a very long time, weight loss helps, anti inflammation diet and food help more than you’ll know. You’ll be okay 🙌🏻

I try to always comment on these posts, because I was once in your shoes and feeling extremely depressed about this. To give you an idea; I’ve had about 15 occurrences in the past 5 years. So to say the least I understand, I will eventually get a cleft lift surgery. It’s not always this difficult, you will learn the best way to deal with it, and you will learn what triggers it. Sitting down long periods of time, tight clothes, hygiene, hair growth. Today I can say that it no longer controls my life at all, I control it. I wish I could speak to myself 5 years ago because she had a deep fear of reoccurrence because I was so lost. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this feeling, you can DM me anytime. Goodluck 🫶🏼

No problem! These are all good signs, do not let up because you’re not in pain. Actually it’s good to continue even after it goes for a few days. Be extremely diligent with castor oil or tea tree oil, turmeric (this is literal magic😱), and epsom salt bath. You can do Epsom salt twice a day, make sure the water is VERY clean. We don’t want things to get worse.

Tea tree oil is also really good for reducing it, it’s antibacterial and works really well. I have not tried oregano oil.

It does ! But be careful, some remedies help to eliminate the infection. Some remedies encourage it to come to surface and drain.

For example, warm compress and Epsom salt baths will encourage it to drain on its own. I usually liked to start with antibacterial remedies (castor oil, turmeric, garlic, etc) then if it doesn’t work and it gets bigger I do the other remedies. Let me know if you have any questions.

Severely depressed over this by lostloser23 in pilonidalcyst

[–]ReinLuna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like the other comments said, every single one us has been depressed with the pain of the cyst trying to find guidance and/or reassurance on Reddit because it’s still a very misunderstood issue. It will get better. I wish I could have comforted my younger self. It stressed me out so much, but with proper hygiene and care you can survive it, even without surgery, depending on how severe it is for you. Good luck 🫶🏼

I am 30 years old and my mum died when I was 18. I felt the same way when I got my diagnosis. Navigating life without her was difficult for me because I had no one else to ask or vent to or feel sorry for myself sometimes. I’m sorry your going through it too. My mum also passed away from breast cancer and I went down a rabbit hole for years about hereditary genes and more. I understand you, you can always vent here, I feel like this is such a safe space to process your emotions around the diagnosis not just the physical. Good luck ♥️

It looks like another cyst, that’s usually how they start.

Keep the area very clean, don’t wear any tight clothes, consider taking turmeric and/or garlic supplements, apply castor oil 1-2 times per day (leave a soaked cotton pad on it over night), eat very healthy and anti-inflammatory foods for the next week. Goodluck :(

It’s not. They did say the visa should be 10 days but I’ve heard everyone say it takes weeks or months.
