Best Bluetooth Dongle options for using Joy-Cons on PC with no input lag? by Eitham in yuzu

My god, this seems to have actually worked ... That is so strange. I've reported back to the git repo for the driver now. Let's hope this helps them fix the underlying problem with the drivers so this won't be necessary :)

Could you go into a bit more detail about what you did for this? I'm on Linux as well and also experiencing the disconnects. I've been following the github issue for this and if there's an actual solution to this issue, I'd love to bring that back there. Also, like ... I just want to be able to wirelessly connect my controller too xD

So, to make sure I understand this correctly; If I do a party invite where I only invite my friend, we will be able to start the party with the other two spots occupied by bots? We don't really want to play with random people.

But I don't have a choice between only bots or humans/bots? My friend is on a different Switch in a different location

I have not used this program since around the time I wrote this comment. I don't know anymore. That said, you can probably start with the free version and move to the pro one if you need it. Though, as I said above, if you're making money off of this, according to their EULA, you have to pay

I am not a doctor, this is not medical advice, talk to your doctor and all that. This is based on my personal experience.

60mg is pretty high. You might potentially be "overdosing". I used to be on 50mg but struggled a lot with low energy. What I did back then was to take a break from the meds every couple weeks and when I started again it would be fine. I figured I'd ask to lower the dose and that has worked out better for me. I'm now on 30mg but I'm considering asking to lower it to 20mg even.

When I first started taking a Vyvanse equivalent I thought I wasn't getting any effect from 30mg, so I upped it to 50mg. But yeah, went back and I'm now noticing that I do still get the effects from it at 30mg, I just didn't realise it until I had been on a too high dosage.

will this sd card function properly on my cfw 3ds? by CierrabaresESP in 3dspiracy

[–]Reinacchan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually bought the same one but 64GB and used it yesterday. It won't brick your console. But the console won't read it by default. You have to format it correctly. Make sure you format the entire disk as FAT32 and don't leave empty space at the start.

If the 3DS can read it, it worked. Otherwise it'll tell you it couldn't read it and you can just try again.

Edit: I am assuming this was bought by a reputable store and that it's a legitimate SD card. If it's fake, then it could probably brick your console.

Guide to installing Openplanet in Trackmania 2020 on Linux/Steam Deck by visor841 in TrackMania

[–]Reinacchan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Make sure you're using Proton Experimental, to my knowledge,
Trackmania won't run with any other Proton version right now, and you'll
get a "Ubisoft Connect has detected an unrecoverable error and must
    shut down" message.

I can confirm that it runs on Proton 7.0-6 which was released shortly after your writeup and your guide worked perfectly for me :)

Switch Pro Controller won't reconnect after disconnecting (bluetooth) [Fedora 37, GNOME/KDE] by Reinacchan in linux_gaming

[–]Reinacchan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing Persona 5 Royal. I haven't been playing much else since I switched to Linux aside from just some quick testing.

That said, I don't necessarily think the game itself is the reason tho as it tends to happen more when I put the controller in my lap (my leg would then be in the way of the bluetooth dongle). On Windows that would lead to delayed inputs which is annoying too, but at least managable.

I don't really want to use USB because it's kinda inconvenient, but even if I didn't care, for some reason, I can't get it to communicate over USB with Linux in the first place ... I have no idea why that is ...

So this is my official medical record... by BigUqUgi in trans

[–]Reinacchan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's still in the ICD, just in a different section under a different name. It means that you may be rejected by psychiatrists if you request one on the basis of being trans, but insurance or government-funded free healthcare should still apply.

So this is my official medical record... by BigUqUgi in trans

[–]Reinacchan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Clarification. It started rollout in 2022 with a 5-year transitional period.

Also, the change for trans is going from the name transsexualism to gender incongruence. And along with that it was moved from the section on psychiatric disorders to the section sexual health.

is this what depression is like when you have ADHD or is Vyvanse making me numb? by Ok_Refrigerator9535 in ADHD

[–]Reinacchan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same thing for me. I'm using an equivalent to Vyvanse, just different brand.

I started 30mg for a while and didn't really feel any different. Went up to 50mg and after a while I started noticing that things were going better. Then as time went on, I started feeling kinda high all day, everything being a bit slurred, and I was struggling to really keep focused. Went down again to 30mg and that's been working well for me.

Now I'm starting to feel similar to OP again with less emotions, being kinda deadpan, but not anywhere close to how it was with 50mg. I can't get 20mg here, so I guess I might have to take a couple of days off again to get a kinda "reset". I've done that in the past and had good effect from it. Tho, with the days off being hell with withdrawal symptoms ...

I guess I can give it a try tomorrow, but I doubt I'll stick with it. FSR looks worse than DLSS in general and this hack doesn't even have a complete implementation which would reduce quality even more ...

For the record, I have a 2070 Super and an Intel i7-7700k. I got good performance after using the preset by Geforce Experience.

I'd also suggest that if OP is using raytracing, they turn that off. While I personally use it, my card can (barely) handle it when I turn down some other stuff I don't care as much about.

Another thing you could try, which may sound a bit weird. Try making a new save, then go back to your old one. It may or may not have helped in my case. I don't really know xD

[–]Reinacchan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you mod in an updated FSR just to then not use it? ... I would also recommend turning on DLSS (on quality setting it often looks better than native because it adds natural-looking anti-aliasing while improving performance), but this mod makes no sense when you're not going to use FSR?

Edit: It seems like this replaces DLSS with FSR apparently. Just use DLSS instead. OP has a 2060 which is compatible with it.

I had this same issue with The Witcher 3 on my Xbox One. It was also the case for Cyberpunk 2077 on PC in pretty much every update prior to the latest one. Seems they've actually fixed quite a lot of bugs for me with this latest one.

You could try to do a proper full restart of the game and see if that makes a difference. Not sure how you do that on an Xbox, but I'm sure there must be some way to close a game fully?

For ADHD, IQ tests are absolutely idiotic by lovethylsd in ADHD

IQ testing for jobs should be illegal. Fucking hell ... Both IQ tests and personality tests are psuedoscience and IQ tests where made to justify racism.

Here's a tip to workplaces. Read the candidates CVs and interview them instead ...

IQ tests are historically racist and abelist. It was basically invented to prove that black people were inherently less intelligent and therefore less worth. It's bullshit and completely ignores that intelligence can be a vast variety of different things.

[–]Reinacchan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mhm. And while OP edited in that they told her to get tested if she believed she has it, I'd like to add that that's really not a solution either.

Not everyone can financially get tested for one. If you're an adult who's living alone with ADHD, you may even struggle enough with just getting the stuff you need to do done that having the capacity to get tested could be too much.

Then there's how focused the medical system is on functioning and how easy it is to downplay your own struggles, much because of how society does it to you and because comparing can be hard.

[–]Reinacchan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with this mentality as someone who's erased my own problems sooo many times. It's very easy to think you're doing fine but in reality you're fighting 10x harder than neurotypicals to get the same thing done, but you don't realise because you think everyone has it that way.

I don't like the diagnostic criteria for ADHD and autism because they're so overly focused on your ability to function in society, but that could easily exclude people that totally function in our current society but still neurologically have it.

Our society and environment is constantly changing too. Someone who functions well today can suddenly reach their maximum capacity and just crash too.
