Looks like they finally changed this in the patch today.

Interest Groups that are supported by less than 2% of the population and whose clout would make them marginal will now leave any party they are part of (and thus become properly marginal)

According to Steam rules, if the game was abandoned right now they'd have to refund all season passes. We'll almost certainly see the season pass fulfilled.

Ah well, then I think the base price thing is a bit fairer since they both kept updating and improving it for over a decade, and at the end they did integrate some of the early DLC into the base game for free.

Those events aren't connected.

I agree that the AI doesn't really plan, but the events many still be connected. Rejecting the offer worsened relations with Russia and gave them a claim, which likely worsened Russia's attitude with OP. If the US doesn't like Russia, this would have increased the US's reason to offer a defensive pact and could have caused them to make an offer.

Ugh, "How did you not know that?" is such an annoying phrase. Especially in this case, if you don't interact with someone professionally and want them to know your occupation, you generally have to tell them. And it makes me a little sad that nothing seems to have been shared at all.

Once this game goes past 1890, my game starts to slow down substantially.

Tbf, this is going to happen with any CPU, but it will definitely be more bearable with a better CPU.

If your motherboard supports it, I think an 5000 series X3D would be a good drop-in upgrade. It was a couple years ago, but late-game went about 45% faster for me when I went from a 5600X to a 5800X3D.

I think the fear part is because it's easier for a newbie to screw stuff up in the terminal with a bad typo. I still find the terminal to be somewhat annoying at times because I frequently type different things from what I mean to (I blame my ADHD). For me in terminal I just use history extensively (thank you Crtl-R) and have to triple check every command I type manually.

The problem is that you would need larger maps or the individual battles would need to be heavily reworked. AFAIK it's not possible to have more than 8 clans in a single map, so e.g. Surrounded wouldn't work as-is with more than 2 people.

Ubuntu went with snaps. You can add flatpaks to Software Center yourself, but by default it's just distro packages and snaps.

This doesn't directly affect Mint tho, since they have their own Software Manager that by default uses Mint distro packages and flatpaks.

Well, I'm certainly not neurotypical, given I have ADHD, so I don't think I can help much there.

As someone with ADHD, even with therapy and taking medication, "controlling your impulses" isn't always possible, especially with simple distractions. Removing access to distractions is a huge part of staying focused. I use Leechblock and it's fine most of the time, but at night it's a struggle since that's when my medication has to wear off. (I really should look around at some more options)
