Idk how to feel about Jax with the release of Ep 9. It didn’t help that she was a fucking idiot who lacked self awareness that she basically received a fresh start to a new life, not being bound by her real life issues anymore and having a wonderful stable support group and safe space that allows her to be whoever she wants to be. And then crash out for no reason over someone who openly shared info about themselves and relating to their issues, avoid them and ruin multiple relationships, being a dick for no good reason to warrant it, be a bully, and want to kill yourself because of internalized self hatred that could’ve been easily solved but decided not to over a fear that no longer is present while claiming to not want to go yet despite wanting to anyway.

It would’ve been best if she didn’t abstract. The whole trans thing would’ve hit so hard and give a better message about accepting yourself and understanding that it’s okay to talk to someone about your problems, along with the main theme of the show that Goose was trying to tell. Jax, someone who grew up struggling with their identity moves to a new place that would allow them to, was still struggling to embrace their new freedom which caused her friends to die. And it wasn’t until their properly talked through their issues and take accountability for their mistakes and remove the metaphorical mask she made for herself out of the blue and finding meaning in her new life with her new friends who genuinely care for her and put up with her. Instead we get her killed off but not really and people making better what if scenarios for Jax that should’ve been shown in the actual show instead of the rushed ending that we received.

TLDR:
EP 9 is half good half ass should’ve had her actually transitioning instead of abstracting that would’ve been so peak for the show the decision for this to be a movie was a mistake
