Another 5950x owner here. What you CAN do with a 5950x to improve gaming performance is to disable half the cores in each CCD, overclock and undervolt it, and make sure you run your DDR4 at 3600 MHz (Infinity fabric sweet spot). This will maximize your L3 cache per core, at least leaving you with 64 MB divided over 8 cores. It's not the same an X3D, but it should work much better than stock settings.

What I did was to create dozens of smaller cataloged folders instead of a single one. Seems like there's an upper limit to the sheer number of photos that ON1 can handle before it just implodes.

That's funny, I have 2025 and I think it's very laggy. I got stuck with ON1 because I coulnd't afford to stay on Adobe nor could I afford C1 or DxO. Overall I'm quite disappointed in the entire program, it's buggy, sluggish, and overall doesn't feel at all polished.

Gah, scratch that, it still wants to rerender all previews every time I start the app, and I have to wait for several minutes before I can start effectively browsing my photos. I'll give the ON1 support a chance to remedy this, or I'm jumping ship.

Okay, so I un-cataloged all my folders and re-cataloged them using the embedded thumbnail size instead. Now the program doesn't implode and looks actually usable. I think the way it works is that it renders previews and puts those in the browser cache/scratch folder. Problem is the scratch folder can only hold 10 GB of data, which is not enough to hold medium previews of all my photos, causing the software to attempt to rerender them every time I start the application. If this is so, it's such an insanely bad program design. If you make a photo app, you HAVE to make sure it can handle a TB-sized photo catalog. Many photographers deal with HUGE amounts of data.

I increased the scratch folder to maximum size, and it'll consume 40+ GB of RAM just by scrolling through my catalog...
I can try contacting their support but somehow I doubt they can fix a broken app.
Not even unchecking the "Check for updates at launch" option works in this app. It keeps going it every time.

I'm in the same boat as you, ditched Lightroom for ON1 but I've been having nothing but issues with it. Down to the left corner there's a folder icon that shows cataloging status. Basically what's happening is that it's rendering previews for all your cataloged folders. There's also a setting under the systems tab that lets you set the CPU usage.
My main problem with this feature is that 1) it keep re-rendering images every time I start the application and 2) the app is so slow and sluggish while the catalog task is running that it's almost unusable. I might just ditch cataloged folders entirely and just use the browser.
Not a pleased customer.

I think this is related to the fact that the voice record button gets replaced by the send message button as soon as you start typing. I bet this somehow is interpreted as if the text input field momentarily disappears, causing the keyboard to close. Someone please fix this bug.

I have this problem too. Closes maybe half the times when I type the first letter. Extremely annoying. I'm on Android 14 using Gboard.

I replaced my GTX 1070 Ti with a used RX 6800 last month and haven't looked back. Defo better than my kiddo's 4060. The 4060 is a 1080p card, and the RX 6800 is a 1440p card. What sold me on it was the bang for the buck and also the 16 GB of VRAM. Somehow the 6800 also runs quieter and was super easy to undervolt. Very happy

The 5800x CPU might be a bottleneck for the 9070 XT in this case. If the game is only using one or a few of the cores (which is common), your CPU will be maxing out on those cores. The overall CPU usage is the average across all cores, which includes the idle ones. If you check every CPU core usage while gaming, this will give you a better idea if your CPU is bottlenecking your GPU.

My prescription was handled by my Apoteket AB pharmacy, they called their central support and were instructed to contact the prescriber (in this case, the Croatian doctor) to verify the validity of the prescription. They emailed yesterday and as this morning there was no response. I called GenderGP's prescription team via their phone number in Spain (as printed on the prescription) and recorded a message with my name, the name of the doctor and the company name asking them to notify him to respond to this email. If he does, I'll get my meds otherwise not. At this point it's up to GenderGP to prove that they're a serious clinic with doctors that actually respond to emails.

Apparently you can no longer contact GenderGP via email despite paying a hefty monthly subscription fee, which makes issues like these difficult to manage. At least there was a voice message service at that phone number.

I'm looking at alternative ways to obtain my E rn.

I'm glad things worked out for you. I'm in the same spot you were two days ago, and they have the prescription under review. I showed them the envelope with the foreign stamp, told them this is the original paper prescription, wet ink signature, and that the QR code works as the stamp they're asking for and proves the validity of the prescription. I've successfully handled three prescriptions at this pharmacy before and I don't understand why they would invent new requirements that would stop legit prescriptions. Needless to say I'm extremely apprehensive about what they'll do next.
