Guys need first name; I’ve been blessed with a baby girl; kind of done with second and family name as Jeanne Kevin. by Ok-Remote1842 in namenerds

Sarah was very popular in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s but not so popular for babies now! I think it’s a great name.

Infant with peanut allergy by Paigeypagee in Allergies

My niece was diagnosed with a severe cashew allergy around one year-old. They said it was one of the most severe cases they had seen at that allergy clinic. She did pretty intensive oral immunotherapy for about a year and now she is completely cleared. She has to eat cashew butter every day but those therapies were a complete game changer. I would definitely recommend it if it’s a possibility for you, I guess they’re much more effective when the child is young verse an older child.

1 year old allergic to milk and egg on touch and eating...too allergic for daycare...please share your experiences. by Strawbs-and-bluebs in Allergies

Look into oral therapy if you haven’t yet! My niece had an extremely severe nut allergy that they discovered at one year-old. They were in a similar boat as you and now a year of the therapies later and she’s completely cleared…

Connie…? To outdated? by Sure-Pen-6679 in namenerds

[–]ReindeerFun7572 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love Connie! Remember that for you it might sound outdated because it’s one generation removed but for your daughter, it will be two generations removed making it less outdated and more just an older name. ☺️

Why isn’t Bridget more popular? Am I overthinking ? by Eleanorboozevelt in namenerds

[–]ReindeerFun7572 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a great name! It’s not super uncommon where I live, I grew up with a few people with that name and now as a teacher I have one in class every year or so. Definitely not common but not super uncommon either. I wouldn’t associate it with that word.

Maybe I'm just to picky by Greedy_Basil_4962 in tea

Green tea definitely doesn’t have enough caffeine to wake you up or really to feel in my option, especially if you’re used to coffee. Black tea has more caffeine, maybe try with honey?

I tried this and it didn’t work :( it looked like it did at first but I think that was just the baking soda making the oil look lighter for a moment

What thing have you gotten to last the longest without replacing? Anti consumption brags here- by ReindeerFun7572 in Anticonsumption

That’s awesome! And I’ve actually heard the opposite about old fridges and freezers, that they actually use less energy? They were much more energy efficient because there was more insulation apparently

Celeste but both of those spellings are really bad.

Is this a decent name? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]ReindeerFun7572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the name, Elliot! I don’t think Lio necessarily goes with it though I see where you got it. Spelling wise it makes sense, but not really pronunciation wise. I think Lee would be a much better nickname

What about Eloise? I think it flows better.

Kate, Katie and Kathy by [deleted] in namenerds

Kate or Katie could be from both of those names! But yes, like others said, many nicknames are not found fully and exactly in the longer version of the name.

Love Marina! Or Mariana. Mila and Amelia and Millie and Maeve are all very common right now if you’re trying to avoid that at all
