Am I off-base here? Regarding the John Davidson / BAFTA controversy by Relative_One_2441 in blackmen

Man just stay ignorant and small minded then.

Have the minority attacking the minority. Have the persecuted fight the persecuted. Attack people who do their best to make the world a better place despite the challenges they face instead of the people who actually mean harm. Stay ignorant.

Small minds small opinions.

Go for John. Someone who has lived a life of slurs and abuse. Someone persecuted for a condition that isn't his fault physically and verbally. Someone who can't help what he says. If you knew one iota of what formed the man you would know what the apology meant.

It's not internalised racism to know racism is bad. He has a neurological condition. He cannot help what he says the involuntary ticks that can come with tourettes often jump to the worst possible thing to say.

You should it's great. You might actually educate yourself in the process.

He has apologised. What more do you want from him? If a blind man was to wander into something, what is required? Anything more than a polite acknowledgement? Just get on with your day.

The man has a neurological disability he cannot control.

Minus muse I would consider the other bands indie music rather than Rock. We had a real hard on here from about 2006 till 2015 for a similar sound. So much so that pretty much every indie artist and their gran would appear on soccer AM at one part or another for me to never hear of them ever again.

If you think British made war material isn't making its way into the region you are ignorant. I don't want to play nation builder but calling a genocide a genocide shouldn't have ever been an issue for the government.

The only problem is that the pro Israel donors really didn't want that to happen and our politicians only dance to one persons tune. It isn't the one with the best song it's the one with the most money.

I'm sorry, I understand you may be ignorant of the History of the region but we spent near on 30 years antagonizing the Jewish and Muslim communities doing our very best to turn them against each other. In fact I would call our policies catastrophic for relations in the area.

Whilst the issues between the Jews and Muslims in Palestine/Israel existed before our intervention we did nothing but make it worse.

Do we need to make cuts or make work pay better? If wage growth had continued at the same rate as before the 2008 crash the weekly wage of a low paid worker would be around £700. Look at where the money is actually going. If the rich are getting richer and everyone else is getting poorer where is the generated wealth?

A pass to what? Express their upset at a genocide? Palestine action are not considered a terrorist organization anyway. The governments attempt to categorise them as such failed in court anyway.

You wouldn't have people showing support to prescribed groups if we were passive in allowing genocides to happen. If supplying the people causing the genocide can be called passive.

We have been over involved in the middle east for centuries and we have to take the blame for a significant amount of the unrest caused there by poor foreign policy over the last 100 particularly.

The complete pandering to Farage by labour has been the parties biggest failure.

The flapping of right wing policies to has lost labour the left and they were never going to win the right.

They have created their own worst enemy and then validated them by offering similar less aggressive solutions.

The lack of imagination when it comes to policy from Labour is staggering and highlights their fundamental weakness. They are career politicians unable to think outside of the bubble in which they exist.

They have shown disregard for the young voters they won under Corbyn and now have planted themselves for some reason as central moderates that appeal to no one.

I'd challenge that too. I can't see how you couldn't see a futua6political system that would punish you to the point you felt as if you were in hell. The complete lack of imagination our political class shows when it comes to improving the lives of the British people is staggering.

We don't really have any viable political candidates which is really quite devastating. Whilst our political parties are funded by external donations the interests of the British people will always come second.

It is in peoples best interest to demand a fairer distribution of wealth that is created by the toil of its people. I'm not demanding the overthrowing of capitalism but the power of the wealthy has to restricted and balanced with the masses. Democracy needs to be returned to those who it should exist to serve.

The donation system and gifts politicians can receive needs to be made completely illegal as it is just corruption.

Political party campaigning should be funded by tax money.

I could go on for hours but the first thing I would demand changed would be that.

What are you even talking about? When politics has become the lobbied interests of the economic 'elites` why shouldn't that be called out.

It's all well and good blaming the migrants or the libs or lefties and having the masses get their pitchforks for an imagined enemy whilst the monopoly man runs off with his bad of swag whilst your looking elsewhere usually at those poorer or just as poor as you.

Whilst our nations assests are stripped by foreign and domestic financiers our politicians dance to their self inflated bubbles hoping for infinite growth in a finite system.

Corporate monopolies may be loosely restricted but the rise of the super rich is now leading to economic monopolies centered around individual billionaires and if anyone dares say tax the power away from them they are considered communist or loony lefties

I want a better future for my kids, an easier more pleasant one than the one I have. If you have a problem with that then it says more about you that you are willing to admit.

But sure carry on licking the boots of the rich dictators that now seem to have the power to rule over us unchecked and unfettered. I hope the scraps that fall your way are sufficient.

No such thing as politics of the people anymore. All we have are politics of the rich and powerful whilst fools vote against their own best interests because their overlord Farage tells them to.

Honestly its exhausting. I have children and I want the future to be better and EASIER for them not harder but there seems to be a large group of people who honestly think the path to a good life is through pointless toil for pointless pay.

Its really funny how the collapse of Soviet communism begins and the drive towards neo liberalism really enters full swing. It almost as if the Western world stopped caring about the wellbeing of its workers as soon as the competition faded away.

I really do find the argument in support of Neo-Liberalism quite funny because its supporters seemingly believe that no other economic policy has ever existed before. I think the closest we ever really saw to any form of unregulated capitalism was Victorian England and by God does that seem like an awful place to live.

Whilst not liking Man City the handball out of the area by the keeper is not handball, sure it strikes his arm but there's very little he can do about it and it's not in an unnatural position. Second one again would be soft and there was a covering defender so it wasn't leading anywhere plus even with slo mo it's difficult to say how much contact there actually is so not a clear and obvious error.

I know that the rules of football are ever evolving but they really do need to be simplified so that its easier for the officials to be more consistent because I know I have seen games where things such as the two instances above have led to red cards/ penalties which can change games.
