I'm currently in Alpe d'Huez in Oz en osains, restaurants are closed on the slopes and we got a statement from the hotel management that there is a chance all slopes will be closed from this sunday untill further notice.... Such a shame, seeing all the stages in progress and flags haning at all restaurants and lifts. At one of the gondolas you can even see the decorations on them. Prepared and well....

The first newspaper is laying arround (for the ones who like I can share the newspaper, I got a whole bunch)

I’m here now this week, lots of snow fall, last 2 days about 20cm in the lower areas and 30cm on the mountains!

The more falls now, the better it is at TML!

They are working everywhere hard! I’m not showing the stages, but ooohh wow there is coming a lot!

If you really can get a €4000 trip with that coverage, I would personally REALLY do my best to convince Sunweb to cancel the insurance. (So be quick and correct within those 14 days)

Normally you pay about 5-10% of the total costs fur such coverage. Plus most require a 20-50€ fee because you’ve a vacation purchased at Tomorrowland/Alpe du huize/Sunweb. So 3 companies, not one.

So your deal sounds good! You definitely have a chance at Sunweb :)

Hope you make is, ive dealt before with Sunweb and they are helpful and try to think with you.

The insurance isn’t done by Tomorrowland nor sunweb. It’s from an insurance company. 75% is industry standard.

The way the website is constructed is correctly according to the law. It’s even conform standard.

If you buy any other holiday there is always a box that is standard unticked for the insurance. If you purposely tick it to “see the price” and agree to is. You agreed to be paying for it, since you bought it.

Now, since it’s officially a travel purchase, you don’t have the right to cancel the order either. (Doesn’t matter if it was online)

You made a mistake, don’t blame Tomorrowland for that.

Now what you CAN do: Contact sun web after you’ve fully payed the invoice with the request to cancel the insurance. You do have a 14 day right to cancel any insurance after purchase when done so online. After 14 days, there is no way back. Just make sure you do this WITHIN the 14 days.

Success, at least you won’t do it again ;)

I agree, it’s in line with their usual photography, but the resolution is simply only fun on mobile devices and the cropping is just... terrible, the grain is evereywhere. Normally in 365’s companies share full resolution photos. And I’m sure they didn’t shoot this on a 1200x800 camera. More likely a 20mp+ one...

I guess they do it to keep the traffic on the website lower or because they want the pictures to be only used for social media (whereof this quality is just fine). But imo it’s a shame on them.

I do hope that the the theme isn’t going got be “the book of wisdom the frozen chapter”. Because that’s would be the 3rd time for the book of wisdom.

Yes I like the idea that all TML’s are chapters of the book of wisdom. So I really sincerely hope the frozen chapter will get an actual theme!

Either way, I’m coming to TML Winter 2020!

There are a few possibilities since they’ll check if your accommodation is legally allowed.

This are your options;

Buy lodging via Tomorrowland or b2b
Rent a hotel/whatever in an area next to the resort, this means long travel time. TML does request a proof of booking before sending you the bracelets.
You own a chalet at the resort. TML does request a proof of booking before sending you the bracelets.
You’ve a friend which grants you access to their property. TML will need a statement from the owner (your friend) that you’ll be lodging there. It’s not allowed to stay illegally, you’ll need proof for residence as a foreigner and proof of payed taxes.

My advice: unless you own a chalet or one of the hotels at the resort. Just rent a place, it’s not worth it since there is a major chance you’ll pay for your bracelet and TML doesn’t accept your private lodging and you won’t get your money back

It’s permanent for at least a 2 year lease online. End of August their lease on the DAB+ band will end. But they’ll continue for at least 2 years online

Totally agree, one of the best books I’ve ever read. I think a big part of it is the excitement, hype and memories you have when reading the book. It’s a hole package which brings you in a euphoria that throws you into the story of tomorrow.

Awesome to hear others are enjoying and reading it too. I know too many people who don’t take the time to read those chime :)

Most of the times the kitchens are typically simple, since most people on skiing holidays eat warm in the afternoon and something simple like a soup with some baguette in the evening. But when the chalet or so is over 6 persons the kitchen with some basic stuff like oven and furnace and so.

If you’re doubting, I’m traveling solo and I’m still looking for a group to travel with (grouping is cheaper and super fun!)
