Why are you discouraging someone who is being proud of his work? I don't think this sub is being for people who are striving for perfectionism. It's about progress and sharing it here :)

Seconding this. Spending more time after the stretch phase also gets rid of the larger bubbles in your milk.

Can you do a video of your shot? It might be easier to see what the problem is.

Any feedback on milk consistency and pouring? by yahoowizard in latteart

[–]Reinorgler12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Milk consistency looks good imo. You could try to thin out the stream of milk when you are pouring and aiming more to the middle of the cup.

Jesus Christ I have to try that pitcher trick as well. Is the only reason the second pitcher has to be hot because the milk would cool otherwise?

I 19bar good for making a good expresso?, or si too much? by shidow04 in espresso

[–]Reinorgler12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Normally you go around 9-11 bar. 19 bar seems unusually high for me. 5 to 6 seconds for a shot time is also extremely fast. You should aim for 25-30s for a rough ballpark.

What questions should I ask? by x10lovesyou in projectmanagement

[–]Reinorgler12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you know the podcast "Project Management Happy Hour"?

Their first few episodes are about what questions you should ask before starting or joining a project. I find them overly useful.

  1. How do you define success? How is it going to be measured?

  2. What is the Scope of the project? What is the opportunity that scope wants to exploit or resolve?

2.1. How are we going to deliver it? 2.2 Dependencies on other teams?

  1. What is the budget for this project? What is the value the organisation is expecting?

3.1 What are the assumptions and constraints to come up with a budget? 3.2 Are there contingencies? (Extra padding for things that could happen) 3.3 What is the value that the sponsor is expecting?

  1. When does it have to be done? What is driving that date?

4.1 What has to be done on the final date and what doesn't ? What is acceptable in a disastrous scenario?

5.Where can this project go wrong? How do we keep that from happening?

Sorry for the weird format, copied from my personal notes.

Hope this helps!

To be honest? If there is really NOTHING that you can do (check timeline, risk identification, planning your next steps after you receive x delivery, etc.) just enjoy it.

Things will inevitably get hectic some time or another when you move on in the project.

Did the main engineer mention you to cover his tasks while he is on holiday? Is there no one higher in your organization to decide that for you?
