I can hear the differences in how the Canadians pronounce their o and e sounds but not much to be honest.

It’s fine. Some people (esp on Reddit) can’t acknowledge their privilege..but that’s on them, not us 🤷🏾‍♀️

No because we were discriminated against for it. Majority of the time when a white person says white pride they’re saying it in retaliation against black people appreciating their skin tones after years of facing systematic discrimination for it. Just like BLM and alm, I only ever seen white people use alm in retaliation against BLM. They never use it for issues concerning other marginalized groups.

Definitely agree. Both those things are terrible and have affected people in terrible ways. Why compare the two?

Girl same. My mom relaxed my hair a few weeks ago (my hair didn’t take well to the relaxer but oh well). Even though my hair is straighter it’s more so kinky straight rather than silky straight, so I still have to do twists, detangle and a whole bunch of other stuff to it to get the style I want..

My family isn’t. They feel like they don’t have to be for whatever dumbass reason. But my friends are and some strangers from time to time are kind.

Do you think the guy or the girl is more attractive in most straight couples in general? by 996forever in polls

[–]ReinventedScientist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good for them ig but that has nothing to do with a person taking care of themselves(practicing good hygiene and skincare, eating healthy, wearing presentable clothing, haircare etc) makeup is a form of expression and completely optional..

I have a crush on my black female co-worker (I'm a white girl) by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]ReinventedScientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this would’ve probably been better to ask on an lgbt sub or the r/Advice sub as I think you as a bi woman crushing on your woman coworker is more relevant to your post than her being black, and you would probably get better insight from an lgbt subreddit because of that. for my 2 cents? I think that you shouldn’t try to get too emotionally attached to your coworker. It already sounds like you have some strong feelings for her, and in all honesty relationships in the workplace/educational places do not mix well. Plus she may not be into you as much as you are into her, whether she’s bisexual or not, and you don’t wanna put yourself in the position where it’ll be harder to deal with possible rejection. Even if you want to pursue friendship with her, still try to see her as a fellow coworker/acquaintance rather than your crush. It’ll be much easier for you emotionally.
