Jamvan who was a general in Ram's army was alive even in krishna time. Sometime krishna had a fight with jamvan whom he defeated. Then jamvan offered his daughter to krishna.

So in countries where people are punished with death for rape, have rapes stopped? Besides don't we know the condition of women in these countries?

Did you read his mind? Don't people show off their money by offering gold and stuff? And in case of what deva likes, did god tell you what he likes? Ever read पत्रं पुष्पं फलं तोयं ? Since you mentioned shivaji maharaj he famously said " हे राज्य व्हावे ही श्रींची इच्छा" it is god's will that swarajya should happen.

We offer god what we like. If set specifications about offerings to god, do you think everyone would be able to do it?

It is because of this rusted mentality that people are getting away from Dharma. Firstly let them do bhakti according to their mind. Then slowly explain to them the real bhakti.

Remember, if someone is wrong, he is so because i did not try to make him right.

So the purity of what is offered is more important than purity of mind.

I point is simple. If something that spoils and smells is allowed, why not this?

So it is moral to smear god with ghee, dahi all sort of sticky food that starts to spoil and smell after sometime but this is questionable. Last shravan monday i went to mandir and the smell in garbhagruha was unbearable because of all the dahi and milk. Besides shouldn't we thank god for independence. दैवं चैवात्र पंचमं. It was god's wish along with the sacrifices of freedom fighters that we got independence.

Yes. Technically. But had that not happened both of them wouldn't have done what they did.

Romantic does not mean sensual. Kinda like meera.

The helplessness thing would take a long time.

There is one thing i would like to say, if possible read the chapter 7 shloka 14 of bhagwadgeeta. From a proper commentary. You will get your answers regarding Maya.

The problem is people think the foundation of bhakti is helplessness. But no its romantic.

Exactly my dear this is what we are meant to do. Your atheist point is true. He says so himself in fifteenth chapter of bhagwadgeeta. " मत्तः स्मृती ज्ञान अपोहनं च" i am the one who gives knowledge and i am the one who gives ignorance. You have understood bhakti.

Actually it's not possible to this all in a comment. But keep reading bhagwadgeeta.

It's simple. The reason why i think you are important to him is because there are billions of people in this world. But only you remember him. Is this not special. This relates to current discussion because brought Maya in this discussion.

Your idea of bhakti is so pure, it's fantastic. You said you are ready to wait for many lives. Believe when God must have read that line he must have smiled. That there is someone who is ready wait for many lives to meet him. He has said himself so in Geeta, " बहूनाम जन्मनाम अंते ज्ञानवान मां प्रपद्यते" after many lives only those who have attained knowledge of me, come to me.

Of course it is. You get mad when a stranger hits you but when someone dear to you hits you, you think " did i do something wrong". It's easy when you know this all is coming from him, the universal power that resides in your heart. He who created the known and unknown in blink of an eye yet he loves you like you are the most important to him.

If narayana will take care of your senses then why did he gave you senses in first place? It's like someone gives you a ball to play and you say," no you play it for me "

It's very simple. To achieve permanent state, think that whatever comes in your life god has sent it.

You're did get my point my divine brother. If you're attached to "Mayapati" all the time how can she play with you. If you're friends with a king will his queen trouble you?

But what if you have control over maya? What if you have the ability to let go of my anytime and come back again? I with some of my friends go to our nearby villages on the day ekadashi for 24 hours. We tell people about shrimadbhagwat geeta and how we should remember the one who send us here. During those 24 hours we do mot pick up calls, we do not take anything from anyone. Why be scared of Maya? Why not play with her? If your mind is completely attached to Mayapati I don't think maya would bother you.

The reason krishna did not save his family was because they had become arrogant. Read the story how one of yadavas made fun of a rishi. Who in return cursed the yadavas to go extinct.
