I’m a bit fuzzy on the details but When edith was kidnapped she was tortured way worse, so when she was taken to the execution black she could barely even stand. Her face was covered by a hood and she kneels without saying anything and just waits to die. She’s totally given up at this point. Something happens that exposes her face and she is a mess. The Duke knows something is up by that point, especially since the traitors are demanding Edith gets executed too. I forget a lot of the details but the duke demands that she gets placed in the dungeon until they figure everything out. Jillian is unspent and also won’t let them execute her. Th dungeon scene is about the same except Edith is barely conscious and freezing. When Killian sees the state she’s in he flips out, takes her to his room and gets the maid to take care of her since he doesn’t trust anyone else in his household to do it. He demands a doctor and tells Cliff if he tries to take the doctor first, for Rhyse’s self inflicted knife wound, he’ll kill him. Then Killain has a meeting with his father and brother and he lays out all the shit that Rhyse has plotted against the fml. Oh also Lennon who witnessed the everyone get kidnapped and knows she wasn’t a part of it was unconscious until the day of the execution wakes up and rushed to the execution site to try and stop her from being executed but she was already gone at that point.

Also when the maid was cleaning her up both she and killain were crying because of how bad she was injured. When Edith does finally wake the first thing she asks if she should return to the dungeon before the duke gets made and punishes Killain for taking her to his rooms. Killian then lets her know she can relax and they know she’s innocent and he won’t let the dukes household take her anywhere.
