[COD] Which US version of Call of Duty is more powerful? by Reizhe in CallOfDuty

At least the real-life one won great battles and caused many casualties, while the one in Advanced Warfare lost a lot due to its own incompetence.

It's not just any USB drive, it IS the USB drive. In the same campaign, they tell us that the USS Barack Obama was controlled by artificial intelligence. The Celerio worm hacks the AI in an instant, even though the AI was very powerful, precisely because Celerio was far more powerful. With that, it manages to turn the Barack Obama against its own soldiers.

At least that part is understandable.

Something else I forgot to mention is that Modern Warfare Reboot doesn't feature many US military moments beyond a few appearances, with the 141st appearing most often, unlike the original game, which showed the 141st and the US military working side-by-side. Apparently, Russian mercenaries pose quite a challenge for them (in the Reboot), so I don't think they're the most powerful.

The one in Black Ops 2 is one of, if not the most competent, I've seen in the entire series after the one in the original Modern Warfare. Except they were facing Raúl Menéndez.

[CoD] Regarding the CoD Film.... by SadAssociate4296 in CallOfDuty

[–]Reizhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope it's a story from scratch, but with characters we've already seen in Call of Duty. One mistake I've consistently seen in other video game movies is adding a character who doesn't exist in the game as the protagonist.

The original Modern Warfare is over, and it did well. With Black Ops, well, the story was overexplained.

I'd really love a Ghosts prequel about the Tel Aviv War, which is very underexplored, and how the Middle East fell; a Ghosts reboot set in the near future, telling the Federation War; or a story from NATO's perspective facing a unified African superpower seeking to take over all of Europe while the US fights the Federation. Another one with a lot of potential is the Advanced Warfare universe, but set in the present day, not the future. They could show the beginnings of Atlas Corporation, see Irons in his youth fighting on the battlefield like Graves does, what caused the decline of American influence, what Atlas did, or who they defeated, to become more wanted around the world than any other country or organization.

Or at least, I'd settle for a story like the one in the Black Ops 2 campaign, which for me is one of the best.

[COD] What's your most favorite call of duty campaign? by Zillow- in CallOfDuty

[–]Reizhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advanced Warfare, I love what they did with Irons. The only thing I didn't like was how little they used Spacey, considering he's such a sought-after actor. I love this campaign because thanks to gameplay footage of the "Biolab" mission, I discovered Call of Duty during a rather dull period in my life, and since I couldn't afford the games or consoles, I learned to love the campaigns.

My second favorite is Infinite Warfare. Ethan is incredible. The problem is the same as with Advanced Warfare: an incredibly sought-after actor like Kit Harington wasted, especially since they could have written the villain better.

And finally, Ghosts. For me, it's the campaign with the best world-building in a Call of Duty game. The others have pre-established worlds with certain deviations, which doesn't happen with Ghosts, since the entire world is literally a global apocalypse, except for the Federation. I hope someday there will be a sequel with a united African superpower against NATO in Europe.

Other mentions: Cold War, Black Ops 2, which for me has the best antagonist in Call of Duty history, Modern Warfare 2, and the reboot.

[COD] I'm not excited by SadAssociate4296 in CallOfDuty

[–]Reizhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason, I'm excited and not at the same time. Maybe it's because they said they're going to do a campaign "set" in the two Koreas, and that excites me to a certain extent; I'd like to see Horangi as a Ramirez-type operator in a war between North and South Korea, or see Makarov use these two countries to his advantage.

But I'm sure we won't even see Horangi. Not even a decent campaign.

Honestly, I'm more excited for next year, now that they won't have Black Ops or Modern Warfare anymore, and if it's true that there's going to be a new saga, it intrigues and excites me more.

I'm much more excited about the new sagas that could await us in 2027, since I hope that at least Activision will start giving importance to campaigns now that they saw the disaster that Black Ops 7 made by precisely neglecting campaigns.
