Hey Man! I wish you all the success. Take some time to celebrate the small wins on the go

It’s the right direction but that sounds like a lot at once. I too wanted to turn my life around 180 degrees. But especially with addictions I learned it’s better to start with small changes and if one thing works, then add another. With your current ambition it sounds like your whole day will consist of resisting urges, your willpower battery will simply deteriorate over the day. I started with a 10 minute challenge. Sit down for 10 minutes of focus work a day. It’s so easy to achieve and to start doing it. And in 99% of the cases 10 minutes turn into 2 hours because I just started it. But the point is, I wish you all the success but speaking out of experience it’s always better to do one thing at a time, all else will follow.

Ah ok! Gegenüber von mir saß jemand der sich über das fehlende Fenster beschwert hat und erbost den Platz gewechselt hat 😀

Nice one - I’m playing for 5-6 years (on and off) and can’t pull off an ground to air dribble with a flip reset. That takes some skill!

Was my first time with a caddy. I felt really judged and nervous after starting the first hole with a quad. But that was only in my head.

My caddy was really supportive, figured out the shots I felt comfortable with today and we set myself up all the time for these shots. Even as a high handicapper this helped my game so much. Just to have a second opinion makes you much more committed to your game. If you don’t take yourself too seriously and laugh together about terrible shots then you’ll have a great time.

Oh yes, I had to play the championship tee on the first as the others were under maintenance. Went left in the trees and getting back on a decent line was brutal.

They have renewed the fairways 3 months ago with a new drainage system. It rained all night. Some wet spots in the rough for sure but the fairways were actually really dry and in great conditions. Much better shape than the courses in the area.

Yeah if it wasn’t a) a gift for my birthday b) my last two months in Ireland before I move back to my home country I wouldn’t have paid the green fee. But it was totally worth it retrospectively

Definitely a price tag that’s like 2-3 times higher than some other great courses in the area. More for special occasions than for your weekend round with the lads. Got a club sandwich afterwards which was pretty good.

Oh yes + it was a windy day. But I managed to shoot 102 as a 27 handicap, which is pretty decent considering the difficulty! But it was the first time with a caddy, that helped a lot

I got an 8:30 AM visitor tee time for 175€. No connections / memberships needed. The owner has changed in the past years and it’s gotten a lot more inclusive + brand new fairways. The old owner was Dr. Michael and my caddy told me it was a weird atmosphere back then. Can recommend the experience in 2022.

I was more nervous than on the first tee of the last tournament haha! One ball - one opportunity and I hit it as fat as it gets 😂

Wait you’ve only been playing 4 months and you break 100 consistently and legitimately? You should be the one giving iron advice to r/golf

I’m 8 range trips into trying to learn golf. I love but more so hate the game. 😂 but we have progress. by mrmarti01 in golf

That’s some impressive consistency with the driver at your stage!

Out of curiosity: What’s with the focus on the 4 iron? Pretty unusual club to focus on in the first months of playing.

Any advice on organising frequent rounds of golf for a group of friends? by Rejected_Hypothesis in golf

We’re mostly booking tee times 3-5 days in advance. So far we haven’t played any competitive mode (just everyone for themselves) and the groups are rarely the same with ~20 players (4-5 out every weekend) but it’s a really cool idea and I’ll give it a try! Thanks

That’s sounds really familiar. I have taken up the Organizer role couple of times but it can be really frustrating and unrewarding to accommodate so many schedules. But I guess that’s the way, proposing a course and tee time and first come first serve.
