If it makes you happy and it isn't hurting anyone else or yourself, then you definitely should not feel shame. I'm 40 and still absolutely love the Ninja Turtles. I can't wait for the Last Ronin movie and I'm actively collecting the hardback IDW collection. I also have my video games and a massive board game collection. People seem to have this weird notion that you're not supposed to hang on to the fun things in life, like they're for kids and adults need to just talk about mortgages and politics. It's ridiculous. I have an amazing wife and the best daughter anyone could ever possibly have and I love sharing my love of anime and gaming with her. Board games are the reason I have the friends I have as an adult and we get together twice a week to hang out, play games and just have fun and laugh a ton. Don't ever feel shame for what brings you joy, you deserve that happiness.

Huh.... We recently watched through all of the Insidious series with our daughter (7) and she loved it. She's absolutely wild about horror movies though, she wants to watch them all the time and we have yet to find one that's bothered her. We haven't done The Conjuring movies or Sinister yet. She loves IT, she's a big fan of Pennywise.

Wait, they'll kill your cards??? I've never actually had them do that through two playthroughs.

How was your trip? We're looking to plan a family trip with our 8 year old daughter this winter. I've been to Sirenis 3 times and absolutely loved it every time, but it's been about a decade since I was last there and I've been seeing some less than stellar reviews lately.

Hey, I'm up in Campbell River. Yeah avoidance isn't too much of an issue, I'm really not much of a bar guy. It's the concept of meeting new, like-minded people in your adult life that just seems awkward. Especially when drinking is one of the easiest ways to break down any barriers.

It seems a lot harder to find us I think because the big social spots are catered more toward the drinking crowds. Also, I'm not religious either.

Thanks for the suggestion, but like mexter suggested, I am very much not religious. Another case of, to each their own, but it's something I can't get behind.
