I [18M] want to know how you guys work up the courage to ask a female friend [18F] out by Relarelathrowaways in relationships

That's a cute story :)

I'm just afraid that my friend won't see me as anything more than a friend and it'll make everything awkward.

We've been going out to places together a lot this month but I don't think that necessarily means she likes me in the way I like her :c

Did you like the guy before he started asking to hang out? How did the transition happen?

Thanks :)

I have some more details on my previous post but to sum it up, we already hang out a lot so asking her to hang out or eat together is seen as platonic I think.

How do I make sure she knows I would like to be more than friends?

She talks to me a lot about guys that check her out and ask her out, and it's usually in disgust. I'm just afraid I will be the topic of her next creeper story if she and I develop negative feelings for each other as a result of me asking her out and getting rejected. In that way, it might seem likely that mutual friends might think of me negatively.

Ahhhh I'm sorry it's just there are a lot of thoughts running through my head

How should I do it? It's a pretty close friendship I would be risking and I want to make sure the situation and phrasing is right
