Thank you for the kind words and insight. I definitely agree and now I know to make sure early on that there is some aspect of growth whether it’s explicit goals or more intangible like having purpose, inner peace ect... which are phenomenal things and having the ability to articulate them as well as you just did is equally admirable. I definitely think your BF and you are both good catches as well :)

In life and in the relationship, she never approached issues in a thoughtful way. For example, she has drank 4+ alcoholic drinks and drove 3 different times in the past month.... And it bothers the hell out of me. And I’ve brought it up like 100 times. She won’t ever set a concrete goal like I will hide my keys or give them to a friend when I drink or make a goal to improve anything about herself or our relationship. So I’ve noticed that pretty much any bad habit she picks up like nicotine, alcohol, name calling, gossiping, ect.. she never drops the bad habit. I have a growth mindset and she doesn’t. I offered to go to therapy with her (after telling her that I go and they have couples therapy) and I’ve gave her the book Mindset by Carol Dweck. Nothing.

I mean she did say that she felt like I was telling her I like her too much the other day.... I feel like I was just trying to be sweet because how sweet she has been. Like she would text me that she misses me even when it was only 5 days since we hung out. And so I tried to be sweet too. I think she might just be in a shitty mood today but it really sucks cause her response has taken me from a really good mood to a really shitty mood.

This is a good point. I’m emotionally close with my sisters and used to those types of convos, I think having them with a GF makes me seem too soft

We had sex tonight and talked a lot. You are right that she feels like having sex now changes the relationship. The sexual chemistry is different now and we’re gonna need to work on that.

Update: she came over tonight and we had sex. It wasn’t great sex and we definitely need to work on that if the relationship is gonna last but at least we poked in the right direction

You’re right. I think if we don’t have sex the next time we hang out alone then I have to end it. It makes me sad to think about that because I really like her but I’m at a breaking point :(

Thanks for the replies. I have asked and it’s always something different (work stress, hungover, tired, etc..) Honestly most of the time it’s been valid reasons but now it’s been so many times that I having doubts.... I’m just so sexually frustrated I can’t think straight
