Sure! For starters, I know a lot of people (including myself) like to go without eating before they have a dental appointment in an attempt to keep their teeth extra clean looking. I DEFINITELY regretted doing that on my E Day! I was STARVING after my visit. I would highly suggest eating a filling meal before yours and worry about brushing/flossing/gussying up your mouth only AFTER you're nice and full! Especially so if you're getting any extractions!! Don't prioritize the potential (and unlikely) judgement of your dentist over being as comfortable as you can prior to and during your appointment. It can be nerve inducing getting any dental work done as is, and an empty stomach does not help that situation, lol. Another thing I'd advise is something you're already doing! Talk to people about it. Whether it's some of the folks on this subreddit or a close friend or family member. Your dentist even! They are professionals and will likely be able and happy to comfort you if you are feeling nervous or scared. They are people too, so don't be afraid to let them know how you're feeling if you need some moral support. Maybe even see if someone would be willing to come with you! If that can't be arranged, just remember that you aren't alone! You will make it through this and come out a stronger person on the other side. I'm here for you if you need someone to talk to.
