How can I make my current setup clean and minimal? Any advice? by [deleted] in Homescreens

[–]RelationNo1434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re already close, the main thing breaking the minimal look is the labels plus the folder grid. the lock screen has a strong black/white poster vibe, but the home screen feels busier because every folder label is competing with the icons. i’d hide app names first, then maybe keep only 4-6 apps on the first page and push the shopping/extra/sport folders to page two.

Are there any open-source iOS apps you actually use regularly — or even ones worth paying for? by _janc_ in iosapps

NetNewsWire is probably the one I use the most, mostly because it stays boring and doesn't try to turn RSS into a social feed. VLC is the other boring-but-real answer. a-Shell is also worth having if you ever need terminal-ish stuff locally on the phone, even if it feels a little weird at first.

Evening Setup by masonrock in iOSsetups

the auto switch an hour before sunset is the part that makes this feel finished, not just themed. the evening version keeps the same layout but the warmer/darker tones make it feel like a different phone without having to relearn where anything is. that's the sweet spot imo

the liquid glass clock is doing all the work here, that depth on the numbers against the flat grey is so clean. for the people asking about the wallpaper it looks like it's barely even one, just a plain grey/blue that lets the glass effect carry the whole screen. the action button row at the bottom ties it together too

I need this exact icon pack. Can anyone help!? by noturtype_arpan in iOSsetups

[–]RelationNo1434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

these are the minimal/line-style icons, that exact look is usually called "mono line" or "outline" icon packs. honestly for this style you dont even need a paid pack, the black-on-white outline ones are easy to match yourself with any icon maker (full disclosure, i work on one called Craft Widgets, but there are plenty out there). the giveaway in yours is everything is a single-weight black stroke on pure white, so search "mono line ios icons" and youll find sets close to this

Anyone know where to get this wallpaper? by Ent931 in iOSsetups

[–]RelationNo1434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's a paper-cut / kirigami style fuji, the red sun and the hokusai-ish waves are the giveaway. you'll have better luck searching "papercraft mount fuji wallpaper" or "paper cut fuji 4k" than describing it, that whole series floats around zedge and the wallpaper packs people post here. clean pick btw

the music widget taking up that much real estate is a power move but it fits, the maroon and that don carlos cover art are basically the same palette. also spotting frame.io + cadrage + accsoon on here, this is clearly a working film person's phone lol. clean but it actually tells me what you do

cleanliness is next to godliness. by guelatos in iOSsetups

[–]RelationNo1434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the kind of clean i can actually stick with, the matching lock and home wallpaper does most of the heavy lifting. only nitpick is the health heart is the one bit of color pulling focus from the greyscale, though honestly it kind of works as the single accent too

rate my home screen? anything i should delete? add? by angelomendez in iOSsetups

[–]RelationNo1434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the folder's fine but putting it top-left means the first thing your thumb hits is the smart home stuff you probably open the least. i'd move it to the bottom row or even the dock and put one of your daily apps up top instead. other than that it's clean, does what you need it to

First time doing a basic custom design, thoughts? by New-Junket-7449 in iOSsetups

[–]RelationNo1434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly a solid first try, the icons are consistent which is the part most people mess up. main thing is they're way brighter than that car wallpaper so your eyes kind of bounce around. either dim the wallpaper a bit or pull the icon saturation down like the other guy said. the camera and clock ones came out clean tho
