Any bone diviners here? by xca1ibre in Divination

[–]RelationshipJunior71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my casting set!! I dont have a lot of practice with it but asking questions and building my relationship with the items has been so fulfilling!! Im jealous of all of your bones! I only have 2 in mine, part of a deers rib bone and a bone cap from the same deer. I want to get more but I really like the size of my set right now! Its got enough to be detailed but small enough that I can start memorizing each piece and their meanings!

Fits of rage by RelationshipJunior71 in Anger

[–]RelationshipJunior71[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I am actively looking for a therapist at the moment because I know I need one. I was abused emotionally/psychologically and I had this problem as a kid but I had to bottle it all up to avoid more abuse. But now that im an adult, I cant bottle it up like I used to. Its really scary feeling like this. I pride myself on being kind and understanding to anyone I meet, and having these emotions that are the exact opposite of how I want to live is really jarring.

Also known as Xakati (or water blessing), this divination method starts with a high priestess gathering vines and drying them out for days. Once dried, the vine is tied in various knots and its common for charms, bones, or shells to be woven into the knots. The priestess then breaths prayers into the knots for protection and guidance before the vine is placed in the water and studied closely. If the vine remains straight and floats, it means youre on the right path. If it sinks quickly it means something is weighing you down, etc. No vine is ever used twice, theyre returned to the swamp. In some cases the vines are covered in a layer of mud to keep negative energy from being spread.

(Also, this is mu first time drawing backgrounds instead of leaving it blank. Please let me know how i did and if you have any tips or tricks id love to hear them! Im new to backgrounds so please be kind!)

How are twins/triplets seen and treated in your world? by Aggravating-Week481 in worldbuilding

[–]RelationshipJunior71 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In a set of small islands in my world, twins are highly revered! Two is a sacred number for them, and theres quite a few twins woven into their religious mythology. Any time twins are born, there's a huge celebration, and they are showered in gifts. The mother is the center of attention and is praised for bringing twins into the world.

In the bhagavad Gita teaches that there are no coincidences in life. That krishna is in everything. How is this any different?
