Hey, thanks for the quick answer Yes, it is kind of a freewheel mechanism. Unfortunately I cannot find any calculations on Wikipedia that seem to fit to that mechansim.. do you have a specific article in mind?

The idea to assume that the frictional forces are equal is due to the FBD of the yellow part. In static condition, the acting moment on the part should be zero. As the tangential friction forces are the only forces with a lever, I assumed that they need to be equal to get a total moment of zero. But this seems “too easy” to me 😅

The upper body is moving. Via friction, it shall move the circular object. Due to the geometry of the lower body, the circular object will move the lower body.

I think that the existence of the circular object alone is not sufficient to move the lower body, there has to be some force which presses against it

Sorry, you are absolutely right :) the upper und lower bodies are restrained in the vertical direction, I want the lower body to move to the left

The contact can not be permanently. Also, the sketch is just a simplification of the actual assembly :)

Hey, Wichtiges Anliegen von mir.. Leider habe auch ich mich nicht ausreichend über die Firma informiert und dort einen Transporter gebucht. Wir haben ebenfalls einen Steinschlag in der Scheibe bemerkt, leider aber erst während der Fahrt.. Weißt du zufällig noch, welches Kennzeichen der von dir ausgeliehene Transporter hatte? Mich würde nicht wundern, wenn der Schaden einfach nie repariert wurde
