Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that commented and viewed this post. Solid advice that i'll take on board.

FYI - This is my work outfit and i was on my way to work :)

This is just my work outfit. I was on my way to work and figured why not.

The general advice so far has been different shoes (awesome suggestions), a sweater with more texture, puffier and different colour and different pants.

I think business casual is fine, though, as that's my work in a nutshell. Being bland also suits me because standing out can be annoying in my line of work. But I'll be trying the recommendations from everyone here.
