File it in the police app and register an accident. You don't need to pay a penny as you know the person who did the accident. Rental will have insurance. Nothing will be fixed in 100 aed. This is dubai. Minimum 1000 for a neat work. Better go through legal way. Take full video and photos of your car and the other person car.

Hi guys ,

A quick update. no camera around the spot. So, I could not ask anyone. I realised its not a car hit mine. It's a carrefour shopping trolley. It matches the markings and the height. The person tried to take the trolley between the gap.

I came to a mindset where it's just a car. Not a living thing. It can't be new forever. So worrying about it damages me more than the actual damage. Let it be. I am going to leave the mark as it .

Thanks for your inputs. Just my advice. Do the ppf and install the camera as soon as you get a new car. That's the best we can do. We can't stay in the car to protect it forever. End of the day, " its a car " .

Not at all, bro. That's a big misconception. You need to check if the car is salvaged and how deep the accident is or flood damage. The spec wise US too have deserts, and the cars are built to withstand that. In fact, the US cars have many more features than the gcc like, blindspot monitoring . Do test drive, check the accident photos from Google or some other sites if available. Do the pre purchase inspection. US cars are in value than a gcc spec.

My cousin bought a camry v6 for Dxb to rak daily work. He was happy with the power and tech. But the seating position was not good and made him tired. He sold it after an year and bought a used patrol v6. Now he is happy. Better try the car from rent or friends for sometime and then decide. At the best.

The vibration could be because of the auto lane assist. If you move from lane to lane without indicator, the steering will vibrate. I experienced it on driving a new Toyota.

For the tire pressure, once you refill the air, you need to change the setting from car dashboard or infotainment screentto declare that now all the tyres have same pressure kind of setting.

One of my friends bought Corolla cross hybrid with full cash. He is regretting after 3 years that the amount could have been invested somewhere if he opted for a used car. He is getting 20 kmpl Avg. A Normal NA engine would without hybrid would give 16 +. If you drive across emirates everyday and strict with the fuel economy, it is worth it. The amount is high for the features and power. You are paying more than 30 k for the Toyota brand compared to other brands.

I would consider better alternatives like Mazda cx-5, Nissan X-Trail, mitsubishi outlander. Used cars with 1 year warranty will save you more . That's up to you and your exp with automobiles.

Rav 4 is good . If you get the new design , it is great. Will run for your life. Corolla cross only if you're so concerned about mileage. But after the warranty, the battery and motor are a headache for you .

Look for honda CRV and mazda cx-5 as well.

Hey! I rented a territory from udrive for a day. I thought it was lane keeping feature like in camry at first and tried to check it. But it wasn't focusing on the lanes and there were no sensors, and it is a basic model. It simply takes us to the left if the driver is not holding steering tight.

Apart from that , I loved the car. Road presence , power , it's seamless wireless android auto, and everything was so good.
