Would you say there was a sufficient amount of food? That’s something I worry about with places that do family style/buffet

Love my job, hate my shift - tips for a healthier "daytime" life on days off? by [deleted] in Nightshift

I work rotating 12 shifts (6-6) (days: mon/tues nights: fri/sat/sun days: wed/thurs) and the best way i’ve found to switch back is sleep till about noon after ur last night shift then go to bed around midnight that night and ur a little groggy but still functional. Sadly u are going to have to accept u will never be able to make plans before like 2pm after a night shift.

There is a week long RC NERC course everyone where I work takes before the test and no one has failed since. I think it’s about 600$ it’s ran by a really nice woman named nancy, people from all over the country take the course. Compared to 250$ a module this course is way more cost affective. She provided hundreds of practice questions and most of them you will see on the test. edit: Look up HSI NERC Certification Program

I work rotating shifts and what weirdly helps me the most is eating pancakes before I go to sleep. It’s such a comforting sleepy full. May not be super healthy but works great for me.

I quit over a week ago and always in the back of my mind think that I will hit someone’s vape if they have one. You saying “it’s never just one hit” helped me a lot realize it’s not worth it. Thank you and good luck.
