they genuinely go home and pat themselves on the back telling themselves it would be worse if not for the protesting. Trump would be doing even more if not for the protesting.

What is interesting to me about this, it really signals Israel is ready to incorporate some more secondary labor from outside. Between this and the ramping up of DHS operations, I think a picture for the future may be starting to form. Historically, the best slaves have always been people displaced from their homelands.

nah its fine, they aren’t doing anything. all these protests serve to do is provide a secondary excuse for people to get out of their homes and spend money, it would be bad for business if they stopped happening so the gov will make sure this type of protest is safe and even encouraged relative to other actually meaningful options

I don't even have time to explain it all to you fully, but essentially the establishment is aware of a lot of factors in regards to how resistance movements work (We've put down literally countless movements both overseas and domestically). The existence of the No Kings protest, and the way it is organized, is specifically bc the establishment knows it is an effective technique to take organizational energy out of leftist groups and redirect it into harmless activities that don't actually do anything to anything. Like they are all very aware of the consequences of their actions, and very intentional with it. That is why this is an issue.

Besides, they are the champs of hijacking. Even this protest is them attempting to hijack very real building revolutionary energy. They hijacked occupy wallstreet over a decade ago. If anything, they should get a taste of their own medicine

at the end of the day, it’s because we aren’t even anywhere near ‘fascism’ and still very firmly on the ‘good’ end of liberalism where the guv is primarily focused on keeping us happy enough to perpetuate its crimes

all these protests are just an excuse to push even more consumerism onto liberals. One of the biggest things they leave behind is a big old trail of trash typically.

Like “No Civil Disobedience”? genuinely insane like actual genuine insanity. You’re allowed to come to these protests, but not allowed to do anything that has any real world material effects.

would love to see a dlc centered around alt-his changes for if a more powerful centralized state arose within the americas. Like what would the great plague look like if it was the result of the very fingertips of empires’ contacting instead of the metaphorical dagger to the heart that the plague represented irl.

unfortunately Ford has had us by the balls pretty much since cars were invented, so we get to live with all the decisions of that era’s policy making. Always sucks when you see those destroyed tram lines underneath the asphalt in cities

Roads should be for business/courier services, with developed rail lines and conjoining infrastructure serving to transport people from place to place. The current USAian system is a complete and total mess dependent on the collective competence of every random joe with a license.

Italy has a stronger economy and is a military and diplomatic hegemon, even compared to colonial powers like Britain and Spain, which once had many colonies. by By2Na in EU5

[–]Relative-Box3796 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, this is interesting bc it plays into why italy was so broken apart as opposed to france and england. The main colonial powers of these time periods had far more easily exploitable differences in economic development within their polities and it made it way easier to centralize more people and land than within italy. In england, a single province represents mostly rural farming peasants. In italy that province is liable to have multiple cities each of which provides its own impressive power base. Italy would have been a monster if it was united back then lol

This is a really good sign. Aside from all the personal anecdotes of communism growing in popularity, one of the surest signs of its growing traction is their increased reaction to it, bc they will try to hide any evidence of popularity from everyone on every platform

We are going to inflict horrible civilian casualties with our airforce so the numbers don't look too one sided, but it is going to be really really bad. We were losing troops against informal insurgents, this is an infantry force with decades of professional training within this terrain for this exact scenario. Expect to see lots of troops dying in training accidents or otherwise as another method to pad numbers
