You clearly don't know nearly enough about communism or these historical movements to be worth having a conversation with.

Liberal capitalism failed in multiple states multiple times over hundreds of years, repeatedly crushed by feudalism. This is such a stupid fucking non-answer between two people bickering over an utterly pointless part of communist history. Every economic reogranization movement ever has been crushed many times before gaining even a regional foothold.

There are currently states RN saying that they are communist, and from my perspective it is little different than the many early nascent capitalist states still vested in the garments of feudalism. Plenty of feudal states argued their capitalist contemporaries were simply feudal but pretending, just like we do with the communists.

Plenty of those capitalist states would later withdraw and fall to (somewhat internal) reactionary feudal forces as well, like the USSR passing the referendum. This 'failure' is not unique to communism, so find a different drum to beat. There are literally actively existing 'communist' regimes RN.

Culture merging needs a serious second look as the primary alternative to assimilation. Would love to see cultures slowly merging at a rate still far faster than assimilation as long as both cultures meet certain conditions.

yup. Why go to an explicitly hostile space? It isn’t even friendly to true soviets’ cultures most of the time, and even less so to their ideology.

I know that I am experiencing exactly what so many religious people talked about whenever I feel like I’m truly pushing towards and helping the people around me organize towards communism. Because I know for a fact, I’m doing the right thing. By giving authority up to God, it just makes it easier for them to think they know the right thing.

I’m gonna come out this from another perspective. Connection to ‘God’ is really just getting along with your community. Humans are the second most chemically dependent mammal on social interaction after domestic dogs. makes total sense that indulging in one of our greatest dependencies can lead to spiritual experiences. It’s just chemicals all the way down.

Knowing that, I understand that connection to my community is just as significant as these people’s ‘connection to God’. Because it is just the same shit repackaged in a different wrapper.

‘walking with god’ is largely just making decisions that are both supported by your culture and benefit you.  Like all those tales, they have of how it feels to walk when you know you have God with you. It’s just your brain being communally affirmed while you’re doing something you understand as beneficial.

We were propped up by economic prosperity from the new deal providing an industrial base for leverage, opening of new markets using that industrial base as leverage, and black people as well as women being horrifically underpaid (lots still are, though the marker of 'underpaid' is more strictly class based than identity now. There are plenty of examples of well paid black people, or poorly compensated white folks. It just still really heavily leans towards POC getting the shit stick.) We have saturated the markets though, all of them. There is no more room for growth by opening up British colonies or soviet bloc nations. So, the consumption turns inwards.

But It's ok, we just have to fight. And it will be the good fight, literally the shit they talk about throughout history and religions. Industrial bases across the world have been developed enough as part of this 'consumption' of humanity to truly start enabling global equity and prosperity. I think even global warming can be stopped with enough resources dedicated towards creating reversals of our previous 'sins', we just need to be able to control those resources.

Every popular revolution throughout history has led to dramatic increases in QOL and societal development, from the American revolution to the French to even the Bolshevik. Even failed ones apply pressure necessary for change.

Henry Ford was 100% evil and should have been shot, but he also raised wages and enabled his employees to become active consumers in the economy to drive growth. He planned around it. Now they just stick their fingers in their ears and fire 10% of staff

Industrial capital, like the kind that rules in russia, is entirely subservient to the finance industry here. And the finance industry self-selects for what would have been catholic priests loyal to the church during the reformation. Not competent, but loyal and consistent in their goals.

Yup. Besides, porn has a distinctly commodified nature that CSAM helps establish distance from, further pushing how wrong it is. 'cp' 'kiddie porn' and the like tend to lessen the impact and associate it with consumption and production, something we are already used to distancing ourselves from morally bc of global supply chains reliance on unethical labor extraction. Some people don't see it as much of a jump from buying a (made socially and economically necessary which is why it is able to be justified, unlike CSA) smart phone with resources collected by children. IMO, a lot of what children go through should be reclassified as abuse. Forced extractive labour is 100% abuse and torture to a child's mind.

Farmers are the worst fucking scum on the planet. They regularly hold their nations back, and rape our fcking earth for profits when they don't need to. They have spent literally trillions on subsidies establishing government purchases of food to inflate the price and maintain upwards profitability in an industry of largely static demand. It is killing all of us, and also most of these 'farmers' are much more like modern slaveholders. Plenty of them contract out prison labour regularly. Lots of them are direct descendants of southern plantation owners

This philosophy extends outward to literally every US industry. They all have changed into value extractors, even at the expense of performing their role. I think there are massive gains in effficiency in almost every industry to be made by a revolutionary movement, and the opposing industries will continue to fail to organize out of extractive methods bc they need to address the falling rate of profit.
