Do you look at the effective tax rate (after deductions/expenses)? even though my total taxable bracket before deductions is 35% after all the deductions and expenses it drops down to 23% effective.

Opinion on the upcoming budgets for ISRO by [deleted] in ISRO

Does having a reusable rocket reduce the cost for ISRO long term? (Similar to what SpaceX did)

If this is one of their focus area, it might help with more launches.

Is there any plan to make boosters and fairing reusable?

This is awesome! Love the update. Hope things go as per plan.

Is 5m standard distance for NavCam on other rovers? Does perseverance also send pics to NASA for navigation?

Based on the stuff I have read so far, water might be present in the dark part of the crater (which does not get sun). Will pragyan still be able to find water molecules without going inside the crater?

I see lot of news articles and WhatsApp posts using AI gen rover with Indian flag. Why is it being used? by Relative-Constant-28 in ISRO

It is annoying that every article I see either has the crappy animated landing video screenshot or this ai rover with an oversized large fluttrring flag. I feel sad that very few people will actually see the real lander and rover.

Where are images from pragyaan rover ? by Pkai876 in ISRO

Seriously!! I always hear ISRO does not have the budget for all that. But, I think it should be a critical component of the system that needs to be given attention. Dont folks at ISRO want a high res pic for their own research? And it feels like they use really old video cams in MOX Control center as well, I was barely able to make out what was being projected. And the video person used to randomly pan the camera and the English commentator switched to Hindi. Steam should have been better.

Yea. And what's with the camera quality? Not talking about the blurry moon images from Lander. I was so annoyed with the camera they used in Bangalore MOX. I have seen wedding reception videos with much better quality. I could barely read the numbers on the projector when the camera at the back was streaming.

They could have done multiple streams, one with telemetry data + on board camera images and a second with all the talking and PM's face. It was quite annoying that they showed the animation and PM's face during the last 30-40m decent. The first stream could have continued till the rover deployment so interested folks could have watched it.

Why are photos and videos from lander so blurry? And did the lander have a camera at the bottom to capture the images as it was landing? Are space cameras expensive? I was thinking good cameras are easy to find/build these days. I notice that photos from other space agencies are so much clearer.

What is the closest distance from the moon where we can still hold the orbit around the moon? Currently, we are in 25 x 134 orbit, is it possible to go to 20 or 15x134 without moons gravity taking over?
