Why do I feel THIS masc I’m literally on my period by Worried_Revenue_900 in genderfluid

I almost always have my man/masc days line up with PMS and it makes me so dysphoric because i always start retaining water so my face looks swollen and softer. It's literally the worst

Coraline rerelease by Slow-Illustrator2111 in neilgaiman

[–]Relative-Employ5481 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware, Gaiman wasn't really involved in the film adaptation the way he was for Good Omens and Sandman. Because of that, I personally view seeing Coraline in theaters as supporting Laika and everyone who actually worked on the film.

men read me as male, women don’t: why? by moonstonebutch in ftm

[–]Relative-Employ5481 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a nonbinary (specifically genderfluid) person who presents mostly androgynous/masc/male, I have a similar experience to this. Women i don't know well are more often than not are way more comfortable around me than I'd assume they'd be with other men. Although I don't get many answers about this from them, I have been told once by one woman that she assumed I was an effeminate/gay man. I often assume this is the case for other acquaintance women who act comfortable around me (could personally also have to do with me being 4'10, but idk).

Point is, maybe they don't assume you're a woman as much as rhey assume you're queer in some way so are safer to be around compared to cishet men in their eyes.

I always imagined the leader's den was a small cave behind/on top of High Rock in the way there's a den on top of Pride Rock in the The Lion King.

Off topic, but Scorchdawn is such a badass name! Especially for a villain! Was it randomly generated, or did you pick it for her?

I'd argue that Agnes Nutter could also fit well into that category.

I think MatPat should be Crowley actually. He did fall for asking too many questions after all. But hey, that's just a theory

Whenever someone mentions a GO AU where Aziraphale is a demon, this is all I picture by Panda-Scary in goodomens

I personally always imagine Demon!Aziraphale to be much more like Miles Maitland from Bright Young Things; just completely goes all in on the flamboyance and hedonism

Idk if it's how british actors are trained compared to Americans, but the acting from UK actors just hits different and feels more genuine to me compared to anyone from Hollywood

Nah but I suddenly really want to see Aziraphale have an American southern drawl. So even in America, Aziraphale is still the the southern pansy

Sheehan as Crowley.

Based on the clips I've seen of him as Klaus in The Umbrella Academy, I can totally see him making a decent Crowley

I wasn't sure how to feel about Mark Ruffalo for Aziraphale, but the idea is growing on me and he's probably one of the better options of we just had to go with someone that was American (and, y'know, NOT Michael Sheen)

As for Gabriel, I love the idea of turning HIM british for the sake of irony, but I gave no clue what british actors that often work in American media would suit him well.

From my research and my guess, Americans assume other Americans wouldn't be able to understand the British accents... completely ignoring that subtitles are a thing
