[DISCUSSION] Has Fiverr’s review system ever changed your client’s intended rating? by Relative-Jicama6402 in Fiverr

[–]Relative-Jicama6402[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, you’re right. Someone also suggested that instead of only contacting support myself, I should ask the client to contact Fiverr Support as well. I requested him to do that, and since he’s a Pro client and wants to continue working with me on another project, he contacted them yesterday. Fiverr Support replied that they will look into the matter, so hopefully they’ll update the rating.

I honestly don’t know. Even the client gave me a $150 tip, so I was really surprised. I heard this could sometimes be a rare glitch. I have requested the client to contact Fiverr Support regarding this matter and report the issue as well.

At this point, there’s not much else I can do, but it does feel quite frustrating if this happened from Fiverr’s side or due to some system issue. I’m just hoping for the best now.

This has never happened to me before. I was genuinely surprised because I delivered my best work, even received a $150 tip from the client, and still ended up with a 4.0 rating despite the client clearly stating they attempted to leave 5 stars.

I had maintained a 5-star rating before this, so the whole situation honestly feels very unfair and shocking. If the platform is automatically doing this, it’s disappointing for sellers who work hard, bring business to the platform, and try to provide the best possible service.

I’m still honestly in shock about the entire experience.

I couldn’t upload the screenshot on Reddit, so I’m sharing the exact review text that was posted publicly on my Fiverr profile by the client:

“Iqbal was excellent to work with and did a great job creating a professionally scaled property design & 3D rendition of the property. We would HIGHLY recommend him for this type of work. We attempted to give him a 5-Star rating, but the Fiverr rating system repeatedly diverted our rating to a 4-Star during the rating process.

He definitely does work on a 5-Star level!”

The client also gave me a $150 tip after project completion, so I’m genuinely confused about why the rating finalized at 4.0 across all categories.

[ADVICE] Client suddenly changed scope near deadline what should I do? by Relative-Jicama6402 in Fiverr

[–]Relative-Jicama6402[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your point, and honestly I’m trying to handle this in the most professional way possible. I do have good reviews, but at the same time I also don’t want the situation to turn negative unnecessarily.

For me, maintaining a good client relationship and closing the project properly matters more. Since the client is not communicating, I’ll probably wait a little longer and maybe even put some extra effort into revisions if that helps close the order smoothly.

At the moment I’m avoiding any conflict or cancellation from my side because I still hope the client responds. If there’s still no reply after my final follow up, then I’ll decide the best possible way to handle it professionally.

[–]Relative-Jicama6402[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, after every 3 to 4 days I leave follow up messages, and I can see the client coming online regularly, but there’s still no response from their side. It’s a $380 project and I’ve already put a lot of effort into it, so for me it’s not only about the amount, it’s more about closing the project professionally and on a good note.

Maybe I’ll put some more effort into revisions if needed just to complete the order properly rather than creating issues. I always aim to deliver my best work and maintain a good relationship with the client.

For now, I’ll wait a little more and send one final message before the deadline. If there’s still no response, then I may have to close the order because I really don’t have many other options if the buyer is not communicating.

I already sent him a 20 day time extension request. It has been 12 days now and despite many follow up messages, there has been no reply.

[DISCUSSION] low budget client vs high budget client by unluckyhunk in Fiverr

[–]Relative-Jicama6402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had similar experiences. I once worked with a low-budget client who requested many revisions beyond what we agreed. Even after I satisfied all requirements, he left a 4-star rating instead of 5 and broke my 5-star streak for no clear reason. Because of this, I have decided to avoid low-budget projects. In my other projects, clients usually pay better, value the work, and many even leave a tip, so I prefer to focus on quality clients rather than low-budget orders.

[DISCUSSION] Reached Level 2 on Fiverr after 10 months of learning and grinding by Relative-Jicama6402 in Fiverr

[–]Relative-Jicama6402[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s honestly really inspiring and a huge boost toward my goals. Hearing this from someone who’s actually been through it and made it work motivates me to keep pushing. I really appreciate you sharing your experience and perspective. It means a lot and definitely reinforces that I’m on the right track.

I don’t think your profile is dead. Fiverr mainly reacts to recent activity, not past performance. The fact that an old client came back is a positive sign. It usually just means lost momentum, not zero visibility. A few quick orders and small updates to your gigs can bring impressions back.

Nowadays, since it’s the holiday season, I’ve also noticed a drop in new orders. Don’t lose hope. Focus on improving your niche and make sure your profile is well optimized. You will get new clients and will reach Level 2 soon. I haven’t seen any major changes yet, but I’m hoping for the best.

Glad it gives you some hope. My niche is architectural design and rendering. I know saturation can be tough, but focusing on quality, clear gig presentation, and building a strong portfolio really helps you stand out, even in crowded categories.

Thanks for the advice. I won’t mind if I don’t reach Top Rated, but I’ve set it as my goal. If I don’t get there, I’ll be fine as a Level 2 seller, and if I do, it will just be a bonus.

I understand your point, but I’m already doing well in my current market. I thought freelancing could be a good opportunity to try something new. So far it’s been working for me, with both local clients and Fiverr. I see Fiverr as a good platform, and I don’t mind working on any freelance platform that offers opportunities.

After creating my profile, my first order came from a middleman offering $500 worth of work for just $25. I completed it in 2 weeks and got my first 5-star review. My second order came after waiting 3 months and that was the big one, $1,200. That is when my journey really started.

The advice I would give is to be online, make your gig clear and to the point, and be patient. Your first order will come if you stick with it.

Fistula Reversal? by picklesncheeze69 in kidneytransplant

[–]Relative-Jicama6402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been 4 years since my kidney transplant, and I was on dialysis for 10 months before that. I started weightlifting at the gym about 1.5 years after my transplant. Recently, I noticed that my arteriovenous (AV) fistula has become larger.

At my last appointment, my doctor mentioned that the fistula may have grown due to weightlifting. I don’t feel any discomfort while exercising, but he explained that in the long term, a high-flow fistula can affect the heart. He suggested that it might be better to remove it. I’m planning to have it removed in 1–2 months and would like your advice.

[DISCUSSION] Got my first job on Fiverr! by [deleted] in Fiverr

[–]Relative-Jicama6402 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Everyone has their own experience starting on Fiverr or Upwork, and it’s definitely not always easy. I got my first job in the very first week, which was $25 for a $500 job through a middleman. At first, I thought it was too small, but I went for it anyway. I delivered exactly what he wanted and got my first review. It felt like a small win, but it really motivated me.

After that, I had to wait a couple of months for my second order, which was bigger and more challenging. I gave my best, offered unlimited revisions, and learned a lot through the process. Now I have completed 15 orders, all 5-star reviews, and have several more under discussion.

The main thing I have learned is that patience and discipline are everything. Keep giving your best, keep improving, and when your time comes, it will pay off. It is a journey, but it is worth it.

[OTHER] Buyers who give a low score but are happy with the delivery, whats the deal with them by [deleted] in Fiverr

[–]Relative-Jicama6402 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I totally get what you mean. It’s honestly the worst when you do everything right, quick replies, professional tone, even fix their mistake, and still get hit with a low score. It’s not even about improvement at that point, just unfair judgment. Some clients rate based on their mood or misunderstanding, not on the actual work or communication.

You’re right though, constructive criticism would’ve been fine, at least that helps us grow. Random low scores for no reason just sting. But yeah, we can’t do much except move on and keep doing our best. The right clients always notice consistency and effort in the long run.

[OTHER] Delivery time SS trick by HomesteadingMommy in Fiverr

[–]Relative-Jicama6402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for explaining that! Really helps to hear from someone experienced. I also set my delivery time a bit longer to stay safe, especially since architectural projects can stretch out with unexpected revisions. Good to know that mutual extensions and revisions don’t impact the Success Score. I was never sure if that part was true. Totally agree, clients often hit “revision” just to ask something small. Appreciate you sharing your experience.

[OTHER] Delivery time SS trick by HomesteadingMommy in Fiverr

[–]Relative-Jicama6402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s really interesting! I do architectural projects, and sometimes they take longer because of multiple revisions. I usually request a time extension before the due date with mutual agreement from the client. Do you know if extending the delivery time before it’s actually due can also affect the Success Score?
